    i think the 97 and tx200 are more in my price range, Opinions on carbine (tx) and thumbhole (97) models please? I dont see the need for a thumbhole myself but i could be swayed lol

    Is there any harm in taking them out sooner? My two hobs are coming up 4 1/2 months and are a fair size.

    So rabbits then, do i just chuck it in as it is or gut it? Ive got bits of raw meat from my local butchers given to me so they are loving that at the minute

    I have two hobs and wanting to introduce to them raw meat as they have been fed on kitten food and biscuits, whats the best way to get them switched over to raw meat? Mix it in then gradually put more and more meat in?

    i was thinking around the 250-300 mark as a budget, i just need a rifle as i have a simmons scope that i bought for the cometa do you think this is reasonable? i know that the pro sport is a newer rifle so that probably excuses this one. The TX200, i know there is different mks, mk3 being the latest i believe. Is there any difference in them?

    cheers mate, yeah weight is important really because of the land we shoot there is quite a walk about, all my lamping is walked also but to have a superior gun then weight can be set aside i supose as you can always put it down for a rest Thumbholes are usually dearer yes? is the advantage just to aid balance and therefore accuracy?

    Because of the gas ram or just as you said overall? Without the lightning i was edging towards the 97K with the pro sport close behind if i can get one at the right price.

    Im currently shooting with a cometa 220(.22) which i bought from a mate a while back to go out now and again shooting rabbits on local farms. Recently i have got more permissions and am getting out with the gun and ferrets more and more often so im looking to upgrade the gun. Ive been looking at spring rifle again, just for ease of maintenance and cost. The rifles which i have shortlisted are as follows : HW97k HW90k (gas ram) Lightning XL TX200 Pro sport I know the pro sport is the newer rifle and will cost more but i dont know whether it would be worth waiting to get one second hand

    kitten food with dry biscuits at the minute, there 17 wks old. Hopefully get them out soon and theyl get rabbit instead

    shouldnt do mate, but they will explore everywhere they can so if your worried put up some barriers so they cant get far lol. I found that when feeding, give them a few sharp whistles and then they will associate food with whistling so you can use that hopefully for them to come to you.
