  7. I know what your saying, Each to their own.. Just that meat is better for them than bread and milk. My grandad used to feed his fish, and scraps of meat/carcase. The odd occasion eggs. My uncle feeds his, ferret kibble and meat (Rabbit, Pigeon, pheasant and chicken). I've just got 2 kits, i feed them lactol, minced chicken and will soon be introducing softened kibble.
  8. you can also buy minced chicken from pets shops, look in the freezers in pet shops. You can either buy it blocks or loose mince. Cheaper than buying mince meat from the super markets. i get it from pets at home or kennalgate pet shops if you have either of these nere you

  13. Isn't it I thought it cane from a cow ... I'm well aware bread isn't a meat. Dogs are also carnivores so why feed pasta and veg? Isn't it I thought it came from a cow ... I'm well aware bread isn't a meat a dogs digestive system is a little different to a ferrets, it only takes a ferret around 2 hours to digest the food, it takes a dog a lot longer.
  14. this is what i thought.. what about milk?
  15. it has been proven ferrets are lactose intolerant.. not sure about the bread though but hey.. each to there own love
  16. bread and milk? i heard this isn't good for ferrets as bread swells and ferrets are lactose intolerant?
  17. Rake aboot, what do you think of my new breed of ferret? these are the next breed of EU ferret..
  18. you,ll be surprised the kid that shoots on my permission shoots anything that moves,im always finding carcasses,i found a hedgehog last night! the f***in idiot !!! atb jamiew funny you should mention hedgehogs, i had a debate with a friend of mine, he says your aloud to shoot hedgehogs... i didn't think you where as its not on the list of game for shooting.. am i wrong on this?
  19. How old are you mate? You do look like a young lad in your display pic. What did the land owner do with the deer? Maybe.. spend a few nights down there see if you can catch him? Out of curiosity, what you going to do when you do catch him?
  20. Rake aboot aka the hulk, ITS A FERRET AAARRRGGGHHHHHHHHH !
  21. Have you tried minced chicken? you can get it from pet shops. It usually what people feed there dogs. You buy it frozen. If you look in the freezers at pet shopd its usually in there. My uncle always uses it. Especially when he has an ill ferret or kits. Failing that there's stuff you can get from vets, either a powder form that makes a milky substance or tinned stuff a bit like cat meat. Its designed for cats to help them put on weight. cant remember what its called ill find out and let you know. ATB mate.
  22. To be fair.. i know of polecats that are just as bad... Viscous little fuckers. I personally don't believe the breed has anything to do with temperament! I believe its down to the owner/handler of the ferret to teach it right from wrong i.e correct it when it bites! All this bollox about EU's are better, Polecats are better. They are what you make em. If there parents are good workers there's a good chance there offspring will be. But then again that's not all ways true either. Then again, im just a novice... what do i know?
