Sums up my feelings on the people in this thread. Cougars get upto 240lbs out here, for the idiots who assume out of their own ass I watched the dogs hunt a 'prime condition' mountain lion. The one I saw the two dogs (combined weight of round 265lbs) kill was 200 only..that about the size of a british colombian cougar - which are also hunted by dogs over there - but the ones here get upto 245, from what I have heard killed. No one has answered my question here..none of the keyboard experts have let me know how many cougars are in the UK, if you are allowed to hunt them, if youve ever travell

I am not interested in waiting for the dog to prove its self in that sense. The pitbull is the decendent of a very famous dog called Eli, you can google him if your curious as to what hes like physically. She is papered to him etc. This is a game-bred line, they are game or your money back and a free pup from the kennel I got it from. As I said 2 times in the original post..these pups are not being bred yet as they are not even mature.. so I'm not putting anything before anything. I am asking for a physical image or point of reference. Which the useful lads before you have provided for the

Wow! Thanks so much for sharing your photos. I love that dog. Looks like a really powerful dog to me. Ever done weightpull with him? Even a small dirt-bike tire? If not I would love to see this dog after some pulling! I am definitely doing this cross then now. IF anyone has more pics keep them coming, some helpful lads on here. Thanks again, atb.

Haha believe what you may, cougar was 200lbs.. and it was a bloodhound and a wolfhound mix on it. Ever seen a cougar in Ireland? They are shy, short, long, slinky and not particularly good at fighting - prefering to use claws over teeth.. they hunt like assassins on weak prey and livestock and are only successful because they run straight at the animal and smash it on the side traumatizing it.. Anyone who has been on a coug hunt can believe those cats would be more than matched by 2 large well hunted weightpull dogs.

Here you go J.DOG, as I mentioned in the other thread - a pic of my pups dad, who has equal content - 50/50 wolfhound greyhound. He is one of the strongest dogs I have ever met, once saw him kill a cougar with just the help of a bloodhound - did most the work too(we were not hunting, we were hiking and nearly got stealth bombed by a cougar so they joyfully saved us haha)....I wish he was mine but sadly hes not haha. Dont you guys just love the wolfhound mane on this guy! Looks very wild and exotic to me. Hope my pup grows one of them manes out, his hairs unpredictable as david b

Yeah, I am hoping so. His father is 31' 113lbs. I will put a pic up when I can, just have to dig for it He is really thin though, and im not surprised his weight cant keep up with his height..hes part wolfhound haha. I expect him to be filling out over 2ish years to his dads size. Btw he is 55lbs and 25.5 inches - just looked. He turns 9 months at the end of september. Hasnt caught anything but a cold so far, but he gives a great chase and has his recall down well so I like him.

I have not checked in a while, but since I am 6'0, and he comes upto midway up my thigh - closer to the knee. I think around 25inches shoulder height, but am most likely wrong..I will check soon. Btw he is 8months now, not 4 still

Btw...doesnt that looks like a white kangaroo on the chest of the pitbull? Or a t-rex at full speed haha.

Thanks for all the help so far. Haha no worries mate as I run a pack with a bloodhound, pitbull, grey/wolfhound - but wouldnt let them hunt a grizz anyway. I would let them chase it till it was in a tree, then I would leave it alone haha. Or if there is no other option I would shoot it with my Mongol bow. Personally wouldnt let my dog hunt a grizz, one swipe of a grizzly paw is known to break a mature pine tree in half, imagine my skinny longdogs hahaha . Not to mention I've seen one crunch the snout off of a bull moose with one f*****g bite...horrifying strength. Btw your
