  1. Looks like it's come back "open" also, now says "land over which the holder has lawful authority to shoot" instead as deemed suitable by chief of police Interesting
  2. Just had my call to say it's agreed so gave now sent my old license back waiting for the new one,. .243 here we come ha
  3. May have to see if they have processed it then, thanks
  4. Hi guys, anyone in Kent put a variation in lately, just ordering if there times have got better. Cheers Rik
  5. Curiosity got the better of me last night and I decided to stand 50 eley hollowpoint next to 50 black boxed Winnie hollows and the eley looked far better quality and equal in manufacture. The winchesters were all different and not one similar in size or shape. May explain a few things
  6. Put 50 eley target rounds through mine on the range to zero with great groupings, so then went to the field to use my nice new blocks of black whinnies thought a bit of zero would be required but found a lot of flyers, have bought some eley hollow points now to see if these are better, must admit they look better build quality
  7. Don't think my neighbours would take kindly to me shooting my rimfire in the back garden either and mines out in the sticks lol. Plus being a closed ticket I'm sure I would be breaching the license that way lol
  8. Few better pics with scope and sling mounts now added, just need a bipod now
  9. Got myself my first .22 rimfire. Nice little winchester 72 bolt looking forward to zeroing in the scope now.
  10. What are you applying for? I just applied for me .22 have you got local land to shoot on.
  11. Probably not the only thing u will notice is the cheque clearing lol They cashed mine in weeks lol
  12. Got mine back Tuesday and I applied in July so not too long, also my land was in Hastings and had to be checked which probably slowed things down a bit
  13. Ok sweet thanks for the info will bear that in mind for when I'm on my land to have a look around for the best area
  14. Just curious what do you use as a back stop? Waiting to get cleared for my FAC and was trying to figure out the best options for zero and target practice? Air rifles are not so much of a problem to consider but don't fancy a dodgy ricochet from the .22
  15. Just been told my land has been cleared for the .22 so fingers crossed it doesn't take too much longer for the rest to be finished. How you getting on? Matthew
  16. Put my application in June/July and have just today had my firearms officer interview for my .22 cert, bearing in mind I also hold a sgc, the office said there was no reason why it should take more than 8 weeks hahahaha yea [BANNED TEXT] lol
  17. Yeh the shotgun breaks easily just havnt looked into the rifle side before now so didnt know if there as easy to store in a small cabimet. May just pay to get another for all the hassel
  18. Rang them to check they had it and they said I could get it in 8 weeks. Also as I have a 3/4 cabinet would there be any restriction to cutting a barrel sized hole in the top? Would this be frowned apon if the rifles were secure inside and clearly not able to be removed? Just a thought before I ask the feo on my interview chat
  19. Yeh it's only been in a week, as I say was just seeing if anyone was in the loop, not expecting it anytime this side of Christmas hahahahahah
  20. I have only just put it in, so am expecting a wait, it took six months for my sgc so was just testing the water really. I have only applied for a .22lr and have a signed land form as well which should help, so fingers crossed nothing against me so to speak lol
  21. Hi guys anyone in Kent put a licence application in recently just wondering how long FAC are taking to come through? Cheers
  22. Make it fun for him/her use the same dummy/ training ball you are using at home and the best thing you can do is go to a field that is free of game, find a field that's less likely to have rabbits running around to start with. They will soon get used to it and don't be too hard on him/her either they will pick up on your frustration
  23. Hi guys my friend has a 3 yr old black lab bitch and thinks she is coming into season. Could this cause her to start growling at people? She is usually very placid and gentle? Hes only had her 3 weeks.
