very good topic with some good points. i have bred full brother and sister with good results no probs with any pups out of the litter other than one being a bit on the small side if you can call that a problem.i then mated one of the pups to a out cross at age 5 iv got two handy pups here now that mite well make the grade in the rabbiting game. if so i would be tempted to put one back to its mothers full sister what do you think of that?????????? be nice

imo thats why whippets wont do the same numbers as the lurchers before anyone starts im not knocking whippets I agree but I reckon most whippets could do more than % of lads would ask them to. I hear loads saying "would a whippet run all night" then they decide to get a lurcher and take it out for half an hour on the lamp and alot couldnt do what % expect them to do great we dogs but not for me whippets are cracking dogs that can do more than some would think but iv had them and had some bloody good times with them night after night but lurchers will all ways be my first love n

Unbelievable...........and i was there haha my bitch did 40....62....26.....(i think) but the 1st night we ran the dog's at your place and that was as hard for the dog's (or should i say my dog) as the next 3 nights, the land around you is hard running ground for any lurcher,,,,so it was 4 nights on the bounce,,,,,,,Caled what a dog.....
