    Had a wander with the old lurcher dogs earlier, its an old bridle path that splits into several, more left and right. My normal walk i normally do with the dogs takes me along a walk, with rabbit holes kicked right out, Any way today i walked the route that i dont really do any more an have not done for over 2 years, as in absent of rabbit holes, i could not believe it the shoosh have now moved on to this bridle path with fresh kicked out burrows, well happy to see this, it just goes to show what a little help can do, as my friend knew of someone who said they released a few in the wood oppo

    Correct me if im wrong, but rabbits at certain hours of a 24 hour period, im sure this what the law states. If you have landowners permission you can hunt rabbits all day or night. Ibelieve the LAW to be THIS.... 1 hour before dusk,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, and 1 hour after sunlight the rabbit is classed as GROUND GAME but before the times i have stated the rabbit is commonly known as a pest,,, FACT........ IF CAUGHT IN THE HOURS OF 1 HOUR BEFORE DUSK AND 1 HOUR AFTER SUNRISE THEN THE OFFENCE IS IF CAUGHT WITH RABBITS, AND POACHING, IS TRESPASS AND TAKING GROUND GAME IF CAUGHT WITH NO RABB

    Lurcher,s whether a dog or bitch, great aint they. We rear them, we school them some make the grade and some dont. But for those that really love the hunting life, IE hunting dogs are your life in my case the lurcher, i really do think the world of my dogs, my eldest one goes lame now and again but do you know what, he is so special to me, and he will be by my side until one of our number,s are up. my younger dog, admittedly i use mostly, and lamping is my real love, and my younger dog of the two is a good old dog, and we really have built a bond, but trust me it took a fkn long time f

    JCM Just to let you know it broke my heart getting rid of my three quarter whippet cross but honest mate, from one hunter to another, i feel for you mate, but get yourself a dog that does not yap yappers are a no no especially if you like a wander good luck whatever you decide, but take it from me Time is a great healer, honest....

    What cross dog is he JCM, I BET HIS GOT WHIPPET IN HIM, THE REASON I SAY THIS IS THROUGH THE YEARS I ENDED UP WITH 2 YAPPER,S. One of them was a Whippet Greyhound and the other was a 3/4 Whippet X Beddlinton . Once they start it just got worse in my case, sorry but being honest.

    May i start by saying to any do thief reading this, you need a fkn good stick up your backs and a proper good welting. As we all know dog thieves are scum of the earth that need killing basically. But i was sitting here thinking about thief proof kennels, as in having an outer skin that is electrified with warning signs stating this, i know you might think im nuts but think about it it would work, and help protect not only the jooks, but also the owners from all the shit and trauma they have experienced in having their working companions chored by scumbag C**TS.     I know my dogs live indoors, but they would also quite happily live outdoors as when im visiting pals, my two straight in kennels, not a peep.

    OVER THE YEARS YOU HEAR YOU CANT HAVE A LURCHER AS A PET PLUS A WORKER,, WELL I HAVE HEARD SUCH DOGS THAT ARE PETS CALLED CIRCUS DOGS.
