  2. Stabba, ile second that mate. I actually said to the fella at Deben that i believe that L E D is the way forward, and thats when he told me about these new lamps they are working on. Quite looking forward to see what they come up with.
  3. I totally agree with you gaj the 150 is a brilliant lamp and i dont find it gives more glare than the 170 do you ?
  4. Gafer the good thing with the K50 is, if i am right it has different power settings and can be turned up or down in power output which can be an advantage for field size and quarry at distance etc.. or you could use its low power for simply waking the dog for a quick pee, on your way to or from some where
  5. I spoke to a fella at Deben about the 150 L E D Tracer and how pleased i was with it.. Apparently they are working on some new L E D design lamps that will be ready for release for the start of the new lamping season September 2015. Because at present the only traditional hand held lamp that we have all come accustomed to using IE the sportlight range and Lightforce range, that type of design, and only recent has Tracer released the 150 LED lamp which in comparrison is built around the same as their sportlight range. I believe the current 150 model has a 10 watt cree L E D. So i was
  6. I have not long bought a Tracer 150 L E D Lamp and i was Impressed with this lamp, i also have a 170 Lightforce Striker with 75 watt halogen bulb which is also a nice lamp. But to be honest since ive had the 150 i have not used the striker170 as i get along well with the 150, its crisp white beam and nice spot minus all the glare. I enjoyed reading the Foxdigger post about the K50 Sup Beam, and how pleased stabba was with the K50 lamp. It would be nice to hear a few more views, are you happy with the halogen lamps, or are the CREE L E D lamps the way forward? Cheers SWG DAVE.
  7. Sorry thats check mailbox please i have sent you a PM
  8. A few years ago me and a friend had been out on permission with the air rifles for a few rabbits, and we had to pass this land on the way to my permission, that was heaving with rabbits, we use to say that we should find out who owns this land, but as you do, you keep putting it off. So one day i said to my mate right lets find who owns this land, knocked a cottage at top of lane and found out who the landowner was.So i pull up to the electric gates pushed intercom, explained i was seeking permission for some ferreting,he invited us in to the front of big house on drive and we got chattin
  9. Saluki 246 i would give that buffalo river lamp a miss mate its only 540 lumens. I bought a tracer 150 L E D, 1200 lumens the one with a lead attached that plugs into my Lithium 8 amp hour battery, and i am well impressed with this lamp its put a nice few shushoi in the bag. Its a crisp white beam that has a decent spot without all the glare of a 170, all though i also have a 170 lightforce which is also a good lamp, but since ive had the 150 tracer i havent used the 170. The 150 lasts a hell of a lot longer than a lightforce, and is a superb little lamp, trust me you would not be dissap
  10. I like those pitch black nights, a good wind blowing, and dry, and the shushois are feeding right out. I know that to get the perfect night does not allways swing in our favour, but when they do come along and everything slots in to place, cor i love it, dont you....
  11. Darbo that picture is stunning mate and well worth getting framed, that picture is unique..
  12. I allways charge mine whenever used, and if you ever run it flat, you must charge the battery within 12 hours..
  13. Your home made lamp looks better than a lot of lamps fair play to ya mate....
  14. I couldnt beleive my luck, went on Ebay last week, typed in Nite Tracker started scrolling down as you do, and their it was, a lamp that was over thirty years in age, and used by many a lamper in the fields of varying counties across Great Britain more than 30 yrs ago. For years i have often thought about the Nite tracker and mentioned in conversations of past lamping trips. There was 37 mins remaining on the site and i ended up getting the lamp for 99p + £5 postage.. Ive run some new wire through it earlier on all though my sparks mate will do a pukka job on it and i cant wait

  16. I normally lamp with a friend, but i also have lamped several times on my own which is a different experience, IE when lamping with my mate we both have lamps and whoevers run it is goes in front a bit and when its his run,my friends, my dog seems to pull a lot more on the slip. But when by myself lamping he just walks along with me on slip. I love lamping and have done, for nearly 37 years.Looking back over those years and seeing how our landscape has changed, and far less game as yesteryear.. Its great though when you get those realy dark windy nights, the ones we all hope for
  17. This 2 bob government could,nt wait to get this swept under the carpet. C*NT*
  18. Stop paying it for it Brigzy, i dont and will not give them a hapenny.. there is a website called STOP PAYING FOR YOUR TV LICENCE, and it explains that the BBC are actually breaking laws, plus gives you a step by step guide on what action to take..
  19. The way its going my old slip lead in 25 -30 yrs there will not be any newcomers our country wil be full of invaders, it will just be a distant memory and God help us, no one listened.. The BNP is trying to save what is great in GREAT BRITAIN.. WAKE UP
  20. Griffin's been on tv before and made himself look pretty stupid tbh. Nick Griffin did not have the chance to speak back if you remember rightly without being shouted down, by a hand picked (BBC SCUMBAG) audience of silly students that helped in the banning of hunting Johnnyboy 68" So if we all go and vote for BNP we'll get hunting back is it? If you believe that your a little deluded imo, the laws on hunting as we knew them are part of our past and sadly they'll stay like that. That would be left for the country towns folk to decide in a vote, at least they would be given the op
