  1. got any pics of parents, good stamp them pups
  2. I agree too many talk a good game, have the so called good dogs in their kennels, when it comes down to it they like to talk and thats it, luckily i have a hunting partner, both guaranteed, passionate about our dogs, and are private, being private is a big one to me, F the ban & Keep Hunting guys!,,, and if you have no one get out on your own.
  3. listen mate, I run my springers as hunting dogs, we do alot of mooching and i like to see them work, one barks and the other doesnt, but there is a noticeable difference in their training, one was over exposed, was given free reign. the other was brought on as a proper gundog and does very well at the job, it now has been brought into our mooches pack due to quality of nose and obedience.... tell me which one barks! its the springer over exposed, given free reign she is one almighty "hunting" dog, i believe you will struggle to find better for hunting out and out alone, in my exper
  4. whats up with Toppers post Tim?? perfect sense in it, i just wanted confirming, cheers Topper, do you still keep the bedlingtons if so give me a pm please
  5. no worried about colour, not worried about number of pups or money just one and i would be happy, we all have what we like and i would like a russell coloured type if it would happen just because thats preferred, just to being a sentimental sod and I lwould like a pup the mould of the Sire if possible, on my bitch he has stamped his mould all over her, good size, good head, great worker, she's just took to her mother on the border Red! Thats no biggie though as its only a colour, thanks for input guys and this mating will be happening, just hope we can get it at the right time, thanks
  6. thanks for input, i have thought about putting the dog across another bitch, its picking the right bitch though, and being the right time to run a pup on, i understand the sperm lessens and if it does it one of them things, I'd be happy with one or two pups, cheers guys, on another note any heads up on the white coming out in the pups, or would it be unlikely??
  7. Hi all, please bare with me. I keep planning a mating in my head, some will not agree but others will, well here is the scenario, My hunting Partner has an old Russell dog, he is well tested and has great attributes, in all fairness is a joy to own, and most of all is a WORKING dog, he is now nearing 9years old and in all fairness cant see him lasting for anything more then another 2years, he had two broken legs when younger due to misfortune and now he's really struggling to get around, arthritis has really got hold him imo and he has lost alot of his bounce just recently... now
  8. hi mate wher are you, a friend has a litter of smooth coated, 3/4 whippet 1/4 beddies, ready to go now pm if you want
  9. anybody after spaniel training dvds give me a shout!
  10. in our little pack we have my two spaniels, my border X russell, her sire a russell, her mother a border, and then two borders brother and sister out of the old border bitch, the borders are hit and miss, the bitch is excellent when she chooses to be, the dog in my opinion is a pot licker, and there Dam is past it but comes for a wander. You need to know your ground well and as mentioned try getting dogs to enter on command, if around an earth. but i think there is a massive scope for a bushing dog, all depends what you like,
  11. as an out and out allrounder it has to be a springer spaniel
  12. i will have the sheardown book,
  13. i know someone with a son of his, was supposed to graft well
  14. how far you willing to travel?? is the bitch kc reg? will pups be docked and dewed, and what you after in a stud?? i have a very athletic dog here, black and white, very honest focussed dog, hunts great and is a great retriever, produced big litters..
  15. nice lines be hard to find a dog with them quality old dogs in them so close, what is your stud fee??
  16. I believe that to have a well polished dog it must be shot over and have game sense, the top triallers will do alot of rough shooting over there dogs, dont think many will let them run around on a shoot day...
  17. I disagree, I have a spaniel bitch who i gave a little to much free reign too, so was a failure as a well trained gundog as she has too much go, she does it all, a proper all rounder, mark, catch bolters, hunt like the best of them, and will work all quarry, She isnt the fastest, and if it was a numbers game she wouldnt be the perfect choice a small lurcher would be... but she suits me, and not all spaniels are slow, my dog is unreal he's really athletic with good legs, very quick dog, but he is used for shooting, and beating.
