  1. that leggy bitch is outstanding a very nice type
  2. as above, a friend has a farmer contact who wants a few deer taking, i think he wants three doing, obviously the farmer wants one, you can have one and for the sport i will have the other... let me know
  3. gundogs = money... but coming back to it, if your buying your first gundog you dont want a high powered ftch bred animal, you are more then likely not going to handle it, imo i dont know why people get hung up on bloodlines, i also believe that a springer from an average man will be 300 to 400 no more, quality bloodlines like ftch bred are 600 and above, but on a rule you can find bargains, ireland is the place for good breeding and low cost, but if you look in the right places you will find well bred spaniels at 300 quid, as mentioned get beating and put your name down for a pup out
  4. i'm in north wales, and its MOT'd til end of the year and taxed til Dec,
  5. Up for sale is my beloved Disco, its the usual 2.5tdi 300. 7seater auto.. its in good nick, had the boot floor replaced, inner wings welded, recently had front half shaft and wheel bearing replacement, it has covered 150,000 its the limited edition model, benefiting from alloys, good tyres... it had a service less then 2000 miles ago, egr blanked, its good on the diesel considering, it does have the usual landrover discovery quirks, door locks, sills are looking flaky, could do with a good underseal, on the whole its a very good example, it was damaged /repaired in
  6. as above guys, my money is on butler walking through him, whats your thoughts
  7. Rabbiting Man i respect what your saying, but in breeding can be used with great success alot of our wonderful lines we have in all our working dogs come from in breeding tightly, or holding the line.... ie using an unclue over niece you get the drift... i'm all for it when its to real quality
  8. what a fine spaniel, absolute cracker.... nice breeding behind it also
  9. they look the part and i hear they work well also, my name is down for a pup in a couple years time not directly off Chris,

  15. looks well mate, sure someone will have it
  16. and back to the subject, thought the pup wouldnt be about for long, if i was in the market i would of been interested
  17. no i agree, always use the best possible sire, i would have a line bred art dog all, day, what gets me, is people going willy nilly to the popular sire, no thought into the process, no match in pedigree, or gels in ability,
  18. I agree, alot of ftch are ftch due to their highly talented trainers, it doesn't mean they have the minerals to instill quality in the pups, Jessdale you seem to think I have an issue with Boris and are still being defensive, i am not knocking the dog, and i agree most ftw or ftch;s will be put to shite bitches, thats how it goes supply and demand, but imo i believe the same will possibly happen with boris as it did art, every tom, dick and harry will use that dog due to it being popular and diminish the gene pool, IE "popular sire syndrome" this has nothing to do with the openshaws as I a
  19. Edwradiana Rob, Halaze hickory, Market trader? thats just a couple, there is great shooting dogs out there also, i prefer a tie in pedigree not just thinking i will use X at stud because he's popular and a ftch, or ftw, i believe in breeding for good reason and good thought into the process, "I am knocking Boris - I am knocking short sighted folk for using him and putting him across average or below average bitches , only to use his name as a selling point" tell me I am wrong
