9 years in kid's home run by nuns age 3 till 12 years old , nuns are the devil , back home not much better , dad never bothered mother more into her boyfriend then me an my brothers

I had mine slaughtered and butchered and sausages done. Wasn't a lot more for the butchering and sausages to be fair.
Got pigs back today the meat is beautiful no bore taint , got about 560 sausage from half pig will put some pic up tomorrow pal

I have been considering the same but opted against as I don't really have the land here for keeping all year, they would have to go down the road to my other field. Plus it's that all year commitment and feeding, buying 2 or 3 weaners and growing them on for a few months works best for me personally.
Be interested to know how you get on with having them in pig

Those pigs are tidy, Oxford Sandy Blacks or some derivative mate ?
I had Tamworth x GOS and they looked very similar as well.I pick them up from slaughter house in next day or two hope meat not tainted

Do you keep boars for meat? I was put off by someone, a relative of a neighbour, who keeps pigs. Said...... "if you take one piece of advice don't have boars, nothing worse than having 3-4months of keeping a pig for it to give you a freezer full of meat that tastes like piss"
It's always put me off, I always ask for gilts when I'm looking.
Am new to keeping pigs to , I was told bore sound for meat as long you kill at 6 ,7 months old as after that meat tastes like piss

A lad called paul from Barnsley he got done for that video to , I remember thay all had big fellow deer heads on walls , used to lamp with Andy hick when he lived on farm in leeds , he run a big bull x called striker if remember right on dogs name am going back over 30 odd years I was only young lad then

Irish bobs rambo that's a name you don't hear about now , was some good dogs up an down country from rambo , les Gedge blue some good dogs came out of him to , I do no when les used blue on some bitches he would take two pups from litters , he bred litter himself properly been dogs up an down country out of blue like said he got put to alot of bitches
