    go at 8 i would never dream of it as kits are not fully weaned at till AROUND 8 weeks old then i like a couple of weeks extra handling and training before they go . many people send out kits too young on here and working with the north east ferret rescue we have to deal alot with half weaned or crying kits that are missing there mothers for the sake of a little extra food and a bit more time its worth it

    10 days old and be ready at the end of june ???????? kits need to be weaned and at least 10 to 12 weeks old before they leave there mother honestly if your gonna breed do it responsibly not for profit

    sorry for your ferret but are you telling us the full picture? in your first statement you say before you had your van seized you were on your own ground but dont state what you were doing when the police knobbled you. then you said that you had been trying to get the ferret back and it had been gone a week then you say you got it back after 5 days? in this heat id be very suprised if a ferret could last 5 days without food and water. fairs fair if you havent done anything wrong all well and good but i think there is more to this story especially when you were held for 14 hours

    a jill can have 1-15 kits in a litter mine average between 3 and 4. one jill i have has had only 2 for 3 years on the trot

    mine aint looped but let her have kits and she turns into a tiger! just been out this morning to give her more fresh water and she has nearly ripped my hand off

    just defrosted after a great show , friendly people and cracking dogs and ferrets and thanks to the show organizers for the hard work. mabey next year someone can order sun please!

    north east ferret rescue will only send out a ferret if it is neutered. as any rescue will tell you it is to abate the amount of ferrets around that are callously disbanded at the end of each season without a care from the owners.they only charge £30 per ferret and this barley covers the costs of neutering at the vets ! bearing in mind the cost of feeding the ferret at the rescue till it is re-homed has to be added into the costs . if you dont want to breed it is a worry free cost no jill jabs or vets bills ontop of the cost of the ferret

    same here we were giving a ferret a good play in the house on the thursady and on the sunday morning she was dead in the cage, funny little critters the seem to just pop off least she didnt suffer mate atb andy

    yes i have some 6ft. fox nets 1.3 cross braided cord and 3 mm draw cord with large welded rings . all fox nets are handstitched onto rings 7 pound each

    usually september to april - the old ferreters say only when an r in the month but if you have permission you can do it any time you want. though if your jills are in season the will tire really quickly and be careful that the ferrets dont get too hot and overheat cause it can lead to problems. the other thing if the rabbits have got young the ferrets will more than likley get a battering so use a big hob!
