    He's right you know - the HW100 is heavy. That is why I went for the Karbine version. Only downside is the lower shot count per fill. For a hunting trip its never been an issue though.

    Marcus The Ultra is a love hate thing for sure, it's also very short. The AA S200 is a great rifle but if you can stretch the budget to a get a 410 you won't regret it as the 200 is single shot and the multi shot is very very useful when hunting. Not sure about the Scorpion as I've never used one, though in general I think they have a fairly good reputation. @Westy, like that is it. No more invites to you on my shoots then! LOL

    Hello Mate I've had an AA S410 and for the money they are hard to beat. Very accurate, reliable and easy to shoot. I recently got shot of mine though as it was a little on the long side and didn't feel right in the shoulder for me. I now have an HW100ks, which fits like a glove, is ultra accurate and great quality. You might be lucky and find one secondhand in your budget. Si's advice of try as many as you can is sound. Would defo do recommend this. I tried loads of rifles before I bought my HW. Tried BSA's, New AA superlights, Theoben, Daystate etc but the HW100ks was the niceest

    You say you want cheap, but what's your actual budget? If you don't want to spend too much you'll almost certainly be limited to a springer. IMO best options are along the lines of HW95, AA TX200, BSA Lightening or similar. Also don't forget you'll need a basic scope say 4-12x40 ish, check out BSA, Hawke etc. My advice is it's better to buy something more than you need right now, because you'll likely out grow a cheap set up. Bear in mind also you get what you pay for. A good starter springer set up second hand should be yours for £200-300 with scope, bag and possibly some pellets if y

    Hi All Can anyone tell me if I would need a single shot adapter to shoot HFT, with my HW100k. I am concerned that to remove the multishot mag I need to cock the rifle. It would then effectively be considered live even though there would not be a pellet in the chamber and the safety would of course be on! Anyone have any experience of rules / how to go about this?     Hi All I am after increasing my shooting permissions / opportunities and would be grateful if anyone in the Brighton area who has a permission they need help on could pm me. I only shoot air rifle (non fac) so anything from rabbits, pigeons, corvids would be ideal. Also happy to tag along with a lamp and help out foxing etc if required. ATB

    BTW your ad says HW100 Sport. This is actually the Thumbhole model not the sporter stock. Only mention cos I'm after the sporter and saw your ad
