  2. mixi's been on one of my perm since last ferreting season ,been taking them with the air gun when I see them ,its weird because its not infected loads of rabbits just odd ones ,I've taken healthy rabbits from the same sets that mixy rabbits are coming out of ,was gutted last year had a crap season what with the mixy ,bad weather,being ill and to cap it off bunnies breeding early ,better this year hopfully atb rob

  4. in all honesty bud no I don't think they do come when out hunting ,iam picking up two gill kits on Friday ,hopeing there'll be ready for this season so I think iam going to bite the bullet and get a finder atb rob
  5. ok fellas I've been ferreting for a good few years now and I've never used a ferret finder ,all my ferrets come to me when called and when they've killed they hav'nt layed up for long ,maybe I've been lucky ,but are finders worth getting I've been seriously thinking about getting a couple,all my perms are hedge sets so digging not really an option ,what do you think would be a decent price for a couple collars and locator,atb rob
  6. to be honest mate hav'nt got round to it ,its been one thing after another,weathers been crap so hav'nt set the 6 oz up and when its been good i've been out with ferrets and inbetween that i've had the flu,but will pull my finger out and get the 6 oz set up,got to learn how to repair nets now as my 4 oz has got a couple of holes ,the advance netting net did,nt have a selvedge on and the mesh is 2 1/4 in corner to corner,atb rob

  8. ok fellas had ferrets on and off all my life,the problem i've got is one of my hobs has started going off his back legs,he's about 5 ,when he was young my dog gave him a really hard shaking after he bit her ,at the time he recovered really well,and has been fine up til now,is this a common thing with them or an underlying injury,gong to get him to a vet anyhow but thought i'd ask on here as there seems to be a lot of knowledgble people on here any info would helpfull cheers rob
  9. i got two albino hobs one called darnel named him after watching bb and one called tony got him off me sister her young uns named him ,both come to you when you call them ,and touch wood they dont lay up ,rob
  10. thats a fair few ticks muddy,checked mine tonight still a few on him hopefully the spot on will sought em out by tomorrow if not going to do him in some shampoo withv insectercide in it ,rob
  11. hya guys how come whe i take my ferrets out rabbiting i never get any trouble with ticks,yet the other night one of the little buggers ran off came back next night, looked like he'd been working some dirty sets ,covered in dirt ,checked him over looked fine fed him put him in the hutch with other one,next evening let em both out ,had a play with em and noticed the one that ran off was covered in ticks in his ears everywhere,done him with spot on, sorted ,the thing is the ticks looked wierd they were really tiny with grey bodies,normally get ticks on me dogs and there a lot bigger than these an
