  1. Hello mate, very interested in the pigeon shooting you have available. I'm in Derbyshire so not a million miles away. PM me for any further info you want about me. I tried to send you a PM but you inbox is full (no surprise with an offer like that!!!) Cheers
  2. I stopped drinking about 10 years ago as did't drink much and when I did it was because I could and not because I enjoyed it, so I stopped. I just used to fall asleep where ever I was when pissed. Don't miss, doubt i'll ever drink again.

  6. Hi Alex, Woodies tend to stick to a flight path throughout their lives and it is believed they copy it from there parents! These flight paths do change so its worth checking your flight path over several days to make sure it is in the same spot. Woodies will face into the wind when eating on the floor so using a bit of varitaion generally face you deeks into the wind, on a still day face them South Westerly as this is the prevailing wind for the UK. Set your decoys in a horse shoe pattern with the open end at the back and the incoming birds should land somewhere in the middle. John Batleys The
  7. Is the net a "solid" screen IE you can't poke your barrels through if a bird is on the floor? Cheers for the replies though. I'm starting to think I may steer away from one and go for something like the stealth net.
  8. Woodies have to be one of the best sporting birds around. I love a day in the hide with the decoys out!
  9. Like Skycat says, less food, more exercise. Raw meaty bones (I feed mine frozen to keep it fresher for longer) and raw green tripe are all good natural foods.
  10. Sorry for you loss mate
  11. Would you not use one on its own? I'll see if theres one I can look at in the gunshop, failing that, Chatsworth show is not far away.
  12. I've been looking at the clearview hide netting and wondered if it is any good? I read some where that if light happens to come through the back of it the birds can see you? Cheers for the advice.
  13. If you got a high mag scope that will range find for you.
  14. Tip I was given by a stock maker and i've always stuck to it and that is to apply the oil with your hand and get your hand and the oil hot using friction from rubbing it in. So basically, pour the oil into the palm of your hand and rub it getting your hand warm. Use lots of thin coats to build up a deep finish. Its tiring but the results are worth it. P.S, looking good so far mate!
  15. Any of the lads from the inbetweeners!
  16. There brilliant shot mate, what camera/lenses do you use?
  17. I'm sure once you start training you will call it a few different names I've always said that if I defected to spangles I would call it bracken or bramble
  18. Its good to get pups used to different textures in the mouth. You can also use things like paint rollers as they are light with soft fur.
  19. Quest are really good. The working dog co. rugby ball dummies are brilliant! Also for a game bag I've found fair game bags to be really good quality (heres a link for them: http://www.fairgame-bags.co.uk/
