    the right bred bull cross will take any uk game and i have seen it with my own eyes pre ban, maybe they wont take them all with the style of some of the other breeds but they can defo hold there own. but the key is down to the breeding as with any other working dog.

    i will not be going down again, it seemed to me that it was more aimed at the shooters and the working dogs was kept out of the way abit. was still a good day out tho but when you have been to one you have been to them all i think

    i think a lot of dogs you see about are to big for me anyway i think most are far to big in the chest, but its dogs for jobs end of the day, i like my small dogs but then on the other hand they can take to much stick and be pushed around a fair bit. i know a lad who keeps his own line of black dogs and they are small but boy do they work

    what breeds do you think makes the best eating pig? do some make better pork pigs or bacon pigs i was thinking about getting durocs or pietrains they are the two breeds i like the look of or large whites. any info would be great thanks adam

    a bit off topic but a lot of problems young lads have with getting dogs started is the amount of work the pups see. soon as they can walk well on a lead i like to get them pinned out on digs let them watch older dogs working/marking and they soon get there own heads down having a sniff. i have see pet/non working bred terriers working and working well with some time spent on them,i even got our lasses pet lakeland working and that didnt even see a green field till it was 2 years old! even the best bred dogs wont start if they are started in the wrong way the point im trying to make i

    the thing is it would work all way round the main reason a lot of people dont keep pigs anymore is the price of corn. BRING BACK THE SWILL

    is anyone on here old enough to remember when you could feed pigs on swill? i cant but my dad used to. the local pig farms used to have swill rounds and pick up from bakeries, fish and chip shops and pubs all sorts of places at least the waste food was going to some good
