  4. Be interesting to follow this thread if it takes off, i really like beddys same as out tho its hard to find the right stuff
  5. i like this type of hunting also, only problem is mine is a b*****d for the woolys shame really because he can really use his nose
  6. I think that every thing that gets dug over there is killed, so maybe they are green because they haven't seen a terrier before, but least they can still dig without looking over there shoulders, they only use sounders over there because they don't use locators all done by ear.if we tipped in our type of digging dogs they wouldn't get a mark for hours Just my opinion
  7. Well done guys looks very professional the way it should be
  8. thats it mate you know when your own dog is ready the bitch of mine has been pinned on digs from 5/6 months old and was marking earths from 8 months, 14 months might be a bit early for some lads but i like them going as soon as there ready, but the harder dogs i have seen have been held back to 2 years old
  9. got a little bitch pup on at the mo 14 month old nice little terrier nothing fancy just worker to worker, had 2 easy digs to her and she did well marked them on her own and found no probs, but i mucked up last weekend and put her in a spot that was to big for her with game that had seen a dog before nightmare! bitch isn't put of by it tho still mad keen another week or so get her back on a easy spot and give her a good win. good luck to all the lads that are running pups on this season
  10. ahh i know who you mean bud your thinking the fella from Littleborough
  11. don't think so buddy, i could be wrong tho
  12. nice write up in the countryman's about the hunting legend Graham O'Brien that man has done a lot for hunting in the pennines , only had the pleasure of meeting him once but what real gentleman and can still tell you accounts about hunting from 30 years like they was yesterday,
  13. 100% agree with that, it also depends what lads do as well i love bolting foxes so i keep small terriers, but i bet at least ten times i have been left red faced when i have gone with friends down the motorway and tried them and they just get pushed when the game is really on half down to a ten footer or even worse a foot away, a bit off topic i know but its horses for courses
  14. Mid lancs is the one to be in bud I hear the rep is a good lad haha
  15. Sorry bud im crap at that kind of thing best thing to do is go on the website and if no joy ring the gen sec mick flowers and he will sort you out What area are you in bud? Pm if you like
  16. That's the one mate its only one night a month get a few lads together and have a bit of a laugh. More lads should really get involved in the club and try get these areas that don't have reps back up and running again
  17. Rat face, I used to always be a member of the "fell and moorland" and would pay every year at the Llangollen show, I think George Hardy was the rep then, will there be a stand at this weeks "midland game fair" for lads like us that don't have a club or local rep ?? WM plucky that's a point i'm going to be making at our agm this year, i want to have a stand at a few of the big game fairs the midland been one of them next year for lads to pay there subs and also to spread the word about the club and also promote terrier work and show everyone that terrier work is still going strong b
