  1. That's true of all bull x's. To be honest they could do with a bit of coat adding to them to remove their tissue paper skin. If you were to remove around 100% of the bull from the cross and add plenty of deerhound then you'd get a decent coat. You'd also get better feet, more stamina and loads more speed. My dogs have thick hides and great feet with thick heavy duty pads. They are just Bull/greyhound. They also have plenty of stamina and so they should have when you consider what a pit bull has to endure to complete a proper keep and then fight for hours sometimes. Thats why half bull is b
  2. Yeah I have, picked up a 7 month old lurcher bitch with a recently healed gracillus and a stress fracture on the other leg due to compensating for the other injury. 6 weeks crating, daily mag box, good raw diet and hydrotherapy after to strengthen would never know she had it.........bit like the wanker I got her from!!!!!!
  3. As we're all not mentioning names of people for whatever reason ill do the same but clear up a few facts that are untrue,I've been out with a fella for the last 2 seasons and personally seen his bull/whip dogs take teeth in large open grass fields(course, catch and dispatch) and also large edible game not in numbers expected of a decent bull x but it was done all the same. Just because so called names haven't seen it or the animals used couldn't do it doesn't mean it isn't happening. The handler of these dogs knows there limitations and sets the run up to offer the dogs a good chance(which I'
  4. Very nice I like the wheeler dogs alot mini pits
  5. How your dogs getting with record breaker was thinking of going over to that as you know exactly what's in it.
  6. Lets face it if your intention is to work the dog hard you'd be getting a well bred pup off parents you knew we're doing the job and bring it up yourself knowing the animal inside and out BUT the majority don't work there dogs like that even on here so the thought of a companion/moucher and the thought of taking a unwanted dog on and putting some effort in to get a few runs in appeals to some and good on them I say, there must be thousands of very good dogs languishing in centres all over the country just waiting for a chance.I will say though alot of these centres want you to jump through bloo

  8. Looking through some old threads at the litter picks from last year. I think we'll all agree these dogs have had a decent season and done all we asked of them, certainly kept me fed well!!! So I thought I'd bang some pics of sox up as they've recently turned 2.

  12. Exactly what I do to start with Alot we have in are poor nick saluki x's possible jackers but after a bit of tlc good grub and a warm bed its amazing how keen they are in the field. Learnt alot from these dogs and never right a dog off that don't want to work without getting well looked over properly first as most had underlying issues that wanted vet intervention.
  13. I help out at a dog pound assessing the various bulls that come in and there's been loads of lurchers come though recently to and some real beauties all with working marks on them,I love talking them out for "walks" and seeing what there about!!! Some amaze me as to why there in there some are clearly pets but I've rehomed loads recently to very different homes. Top tip say nothing about working them very few will entertain you as they think its cruel to "make" a dog work.......sigh!!! I've a couple here I've taken on from others at a young age and they both needed alot of work to put them
