Tomo tracer lamps are finished all the old stock has gone they only do batteries now. lightforce lamps are like rocking horse shit with no more being imported for a while try getting a 240 variable anywhere atm

Very much so

He’s fully gundog trained,he used to be broke to deer and could stop him on anything but lamping a lot etc kinda changed that. the pic was taken after the picking up team had worked the island but he stuck his nose up and went into the water, the guy with the spaniels said it was clear but frank doesn’t mismark and came back with a hen bird to the guys disgust. not all lurchers can be trained this way as I found with my new pup but the ones that can are worth there weight and certainly change some misconceptions
-
Cheers Phil,he’s trained as a gundog and has changed some minds on the estate which opened up more land.

The head keeper took me out as a favour once lamping after some beating and know he owns 2 lurchers and is my main lamping partner. my lurcher works the beating line all season,he’s a handy dog but it wasn’t easy to get my way in at first

I think the world of mine 3/4 beddy 1/4 grey x whippet grey, trained him as a gundog easily, ferrets, lamps, beats and has a few gears for everything plus a great nose

With all the science available I’d personally spay when physically and mentally mature around 2.5-3 yrs to ensure growth plate closure also I haven’t seen any issues done at this age. id also pay the extra for the partial spay via keyhole. ive only ever neutered my working stafford bitches and saw no issues I just fed a little less. there seems to be an increased risk of cruciate rupture in neutered dogs but no clear evidence yet but something to consider.

Flea Collars? Are They Good And Which Ones?
Westy76 replied to Tyla's topic in Lurchers & Running Dogs
I'm looking for recommendations for flea collars. I'm fed up with the spot on treatments only lasting for a week before the dogs it hang again. We do the kennels and bedding etc but live in a place with a lot of game and the dogs are out and about alot, I'm guessing they are picking up new fleas as fast as we are killing them. Will collars be any better? We've used seresto collars the last 2 years,we buy them from a French website as you don't need a script there but you do here and there a lot cheaper. Does fleas and ticks Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
Paul Sullivan Collars Or Kcb Leather?
Westy76 replied to Lurcherdog96's topic in Lurchers & Running Dogs
I've had gaffers (KCB)collars for 6 years now still going strong,my mate has Sullivan's but another mate had a blood red one on a white pied bull terrier and one swim she went pink from the dye running. Lasted a week before it washed out!!! I prefer gaffers as there priced better for what they are Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
Paul Sullivan leather has just started selling his own hand made collars £4 each posted,I've just got 4 and sent my lengths to him https://www.(!64.56:886/Paul-Sullivan-Leather-1569700736576598/

I've had no issue but this is a quality meat protein not plant based like the cheap kibbles like gain, redmills etc.As long as your dogs are active I've had no issues and feed all year round.
-
10 kgs lasts me a week with 6 on it
-
Be aware the fish and original are multi protein and the duck is a single protein and lower protein levels. If you do buy any this is the code where you get an extra 5% off 46H2L6
-
I know a fair few feeding performance dogs on it,delivery is free up to 30kgs to your door to.

I feed Akela and have for a year I wouldn't feed anything else now. It's the same as orijen acana as in -20 mix but made in uk and £35 a sack compared to £60- for 10kgs. It works well fed alongside raw or on its own. I can't rate it highly enough. Also scores 5/5 on all about dog food site.
