Occasionally see a Red Kite near us but last year we had a Black Kite appear which I am told are not seen that often in Britain - stayed for quite a while together with a load of people trying to get a picture of it! Just down the road from me is a large nesting area for the Marsh Harrier so see a lot of those in the summer.

I think you will find that Colways have gone bust - so unless someone has taken the factory over they will be few and far between.

Well we have had all the standard knocking of Border Terriers on this thread. If your dog does the job that you want it for that is all that matters! In my too many years of working terriers underground to various types of vermin (old enough to remember going out as a kid digging black and whites legally) I have used most types of terriers. A friend of mine has had his 4 Yr old Border Lakeland Dog stolen this morning. I would describe the dog more as a red lakeland with a while blaze on his chest. He is going to email me a photo later when he can get to a computer. The dog is microchipped. Stolen from Gosberton, Lincolnshire between 8am and 1.00pm today by forcing padlocks off kennel.
