  1. Right lads I'm after a decent, reasonably priced scope for my HW77K. I've read pianoman's views on the Hawke SR12 and it sounds good but cluttered reticules usually put me off. Do the advantages outweigh the initial appearance?
  2. I had one of these, but the two shot variant in .22, as my first PCP around 12 years ago and only sold it last year. Never even had to change a seal and it was as accurate as my HW100KT when tested. What I'd call a 'robust working rifle' mine got hammered and didn't miss a beat
  3. Cheers lads will have a go again. Thanks for the recepie Moley, will give that one a go
  4. ive got one of them aswell Me too, very good knife at an extremely affordable price
  5. Had a visit to see family today and decided to take the HW77K on the off chance I got an opportunity for a wander over our family farms. As I walked over the empty moorland fields with the farm jack russel by my side I spooked a wood pigeon on top of a dry stone wall. Knowing that pigeons usually flock I assumed there would be more so I donned my balaclava and gloves, lowered my profile and made my way over to the wall, dog at heel, for a peek over the top stones into the adjacent field. There was a mixture of 40-50 juvenile (no neck bar) and mature woodpigeon busily feeding on the clo
  6. Thats awful, hope you get fully refunfed at the very least. I'd be making a formal complaint
  7. Nice one Mike. I haven't been on the forum much, or out shooting due to being busy with our new house that we moved into about three weeks ago. Its a two bed cottage in a rural location with a lovely little log burner. Just half filled my little stone outbuiding with logs for autumn/winter and off out to purchase an axe, sledgehammer and wedge this aft. I've got a busy day splitting and chopping coming up soon. I've laid a new path, three quarters the way through building a small dry stone wall and in a couple of weeks hope to have a small, raised vege patch sorted. The plan is t
  8. Nice going Stuart, looks like the Diana is doing well
  9. Give the Daystate Li's a try, both my HW77 and HW100 love them. I'm suprised more people don't use thembto be honest, I've found them the best in most things
  10. Can't be much heavier than a HW77K and they don't say thats too heavy to carry in the field
  11. I hope you washed down the rapid
  12. You'd post it off to him and he'd do the work. His DIY kits are cheaper, will check the kit price for you today
  13. Dave Hall's just been in touch after we spoke last night. His tunes start from £70
  14. Bloody hell Davy you're a handy man to know. Looks great, maybe a good upload for VerminhuntersTV? ATB
  15. Sounds good, she was nice to shoot with tonight I liked it. Very pointable and light, similar to a HW95. I'm sure a nice kit or even a service would just finish it off. Be nice to get on the range in the daylight and put in some groups
  16. I think you can buy the pressure switches seperately.. might start looking on ebay
  17. Thanks, they look good. I've been looking at these too: http://www.taclight.co.uk/dereelight/night-master.html Slightly more expensive because all the add ons are optional extras. You can buy red LED's rather than the conventional filter so the beam is just as bright. I reckon it will be about £150 for the job lot
  18. Nice one, there were quite a few about lasy night. Funny you mention the foxes, I saw two in the bunker near the 13th. Not sure if they were cubs, it was pretty dark If the weather's fine we could maybe nip out tonight?
  19. Nice outing Mike, you sure do well with the pigeons
  20. It was 8.30pm when the last golfer left the course. I'd been waiting a good half hour for the place to go quiet so that I could make an impression on the rabbit numbers. I spent the time walking the course, rifle in slip, familiarising myself with the land and in the process counted upwards of 15 rabbits. I'd decided to take the HW77K out tonight after my scope calibration session to see what I could do. In my right pocket, mixed in with the pocket fluff, were a handfull of Rangemaster Li's. There's something simplistically pleasing about springers which is why I have never been in the hab
  21. Send it to Dave Hall.. I believe his Full Monty Tunes are now only £100... Have a go with my 77 this week and see what you think
