  1. Good news Miles, I've missed reading your posts
  2. I know Dave Hall now offers a tune and short stroke for the TX200 and Pro Sport
  3. Cheers lads, mine is starting to wear quite a bit from taking it with me. Think I'll leave it in the gun safe in future
  4. Is it a legal requirement to carry your FAC when out on your permission?
  5. Nice shooting, although they look like Rooks to me
  6. Seben scope mount? I've got one and don't rate it, too much flex resulting in misalignment. Not portable either
  7. My new camera mount arrived from Amazon today: http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B0032KHK1W/ref=redir_mdp_mobile?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_details_o00_s00_i00 On the outset it looks like a good piece of kit, very handy to swap between rifles or just leave on. Its fully adjustable for rotation and tilt and has a locking collar to secure it into position. I'm hoping to use this to film some of my shooting activities so watch this space
  8. Nice one Steve There's as a farm directly behind my boundary wall that I haven't asked for permission on yet. The owner lives in the same row as me and we only moved in August so wanted them to get to know us a bit first. I'll get round to asking soon
  9. All depends on how high the scope rail is above the barrel. I've just swapped some high mounts for medium ones with Davyt63 for my Hawke Digi Nite Eye 4-16x50. It fits with a couple of mm space over the barrel. Usually best to mount the scope as low as you can, its certainly helped my eye alignment enabling my head position to be more comfortable and above all, consistant
  10. Nice video lads, well put together and narated
  11. No I think your 77 as had some amazing work put into it mate and you shoot it brilliantly, you're a pleasure to watch on YT. I think the softer shot is down to Tony fixing something to back of the action which drops recoil dramatically once bedded in mate. There is nothing short or snappy about the shot like you say there is with a V Mac system, its just a slight nudge at the shoulder making accuracy pretty much not far off pure ease mate. There is a definate difference from a S1 and S2 tune though. The S1 in my Spectre is smooth and lighter to cock than the S2 but the recoil i
  12. Nice going lads, properly tuned springers are amazing aren't they Mawders? If I ever get another springer it will be Stage 2 tuned from Tony Wall I think it would be nice to compare to my HW77K to something. From how you've described it there sounds to be a definate difference between the SFS tune and the Dave Hall tune that I have. The SFS sounds a much 'softer' shot release if that makes sense. I've heard the V-Mach tune described as short and snappy, almost gas ram-like. Mine is probably inbetween, hard to describe!
  13. Haha, ditto I'm glad you lads suffer with the same! I think there's only one man who has it sussed and that's Mr. Pittaway! C'mon Si, what's the secret?!
  14. Nice going lads, good to see you out getting a mixed bag
  15. Lovely breed the Jack Russel, had loads of fun with them when I was a lad, always out shooting and ratting in the barns. Heart of a lion, or as my Grandad would say: "that dog would fight a gorilla in a dustbin!" Good times
  16. Yeah I would say so. The view through the eye piece looks identical to mine. I bet they're all the same internally
