  1. What a great couple of videos you've uploaded there Si. Tony seems a genuinley nice chap to speak to and looks like he takes such pride in what he does, I'd love a visit to his shop That 98 looks incredible too, it hardley moved when you pulled the trigger and wasn't even properly bedded in. Sod the Prosport, I think an SFS tuned 98 will be my next air rifle (if I ever find the funds to get one!) Thanks for uploading those clips they were real pleasure to watch
  2. Wow, they look very consistant in your rifle. If they didn't penetrate both sides of the rabbit's head they must have imparted all of their energy in the rabbit which is just what we want, especially in .177 calibre
  3. If you've got a Hawke scope do what the rest of us do; download your calibrated reticule using Chairgun and stick it to the inside of your scope cap
  4. Cheers Phil, it was very tasty! Here's the recipe: http://www.food.com/recipe/beer-braised-rabbit-or-chicken-for-the-crock-pot-44403
  5. Nice one Craig, I believe you can buy a Jack Pyke 'gun sock' for a few quid http://jackpykeshop.co.uk/jack-pyke-gun-sock.html#product235 that has the same effect only yours is completely free! Look forward to hearing if it works!
  6. We are in your neck of the woods next week end. Come over to Rivington rifle mens club, there are a few of here going to the AAOC Meet which I have organised That sounds great Davy, never been to Rivington Rifle Men's. I'm working Sunday, off Fri and Sat next week so might pop down! I'll have a chat with the misus
  7. Fawcetts in Lancaster will have them in stock
  8. Thanks Phil.I am honestly amazed by it still. ( I keep looking at it and think, your like a hiss fart in a crowded shop , your pleased you got it out ! Silent but deadly ) and very impressed with the results. Just got off the phone from a friend wanting to shoot a place we attend and he had the audacity to mention fetching his rimmy..... Well after my face stopped screwing up as if I had licked p1ss off a thistle, I explained that we will be doing it with the HW100 ( yes he has the lip on ) But in all fairness the place justifies shots on average of 40 yards or closer so the HW will be
  9. Nice to hear you had a good afternoon goz, I've not had the pleasure of meeting Si or Davy but from the brief conversations I've had with Si over the phone and the correspondance I've had with Davy on here they both seem like cracking chaps! Just a shame you're all down bloody south! ATB
  10. Nice video Steve, you've certainly got enough to keep you going for a while!
  11. Great shooting Ste, that shot on the second pigeon was captured very well on your camera, what are you using?
  12. Hi Craig, I also have his Airgun Hunter's Year book - a very good read. Let us know what you think of his latest book if you buy it
  13. Well done Steve, wow those pellets have made a mess, especially for a .177 What pellets are you using?
  14. You know it makes sense, only the most skilled shooters use .22
  15. Nice going Skot, nice to hear that you're also favouring the man's calibre like Si and myself The gillie looks the part, if I had woodlands on my perms I'd consider investing in one
  16. Definitely needs a bit of grease at the minimum. I zero from kneeling as I noted that that was the position I used most. I also find with springers that prone is a faff for re-loading. Subscribed to your youtube channel Elliott, looks superb, that 17hmr looks fun! Are you keeping the 77 or selling it on? Thanks for subbing, thought I was already subscribed to your channel but it seems not - I am now Yes the .17HMR is ok but the freedom of an air rifle can't be beaten. FAC is very restrictive, possibly better if you have an 'open' ticket
  17. Cheers Andy, thats very kind of you to say Had the rabbit for tea last night, slow cooked with vegetables in beer :mmm:
  18. Nice one Billy, what did you shoot them with?
  19. Congrats Si, hope you have a good one! We're all waiting for the next VerminHuntersTV upload! ATB, Elliott
  20. Nice vid Miles, it is a hellishly long HW77! Get her tuned and I'm sure it will perform even better. Interesting to hear that you prefer the kneeling position, I'm a prone man myself, I find it the steadiest position for me - not always the most practical though!
  21. Nice write up Craig, you did well in those conditions pal. How effective does the gillie suit seem? Sounds like you've got a lovely wife there too
  22. Cheers woodcote, they certainly take no prisoners!
  23. Thanks lads, enjoed making that first hunting video even though it was only brief
