I think that the whippet is very underestimated. My older bitch is nearly two and she has plenty of stamina. She is 25 Lbs and 20" and she will work away on the coldest of nights with no probs. I genuinly can't see a benifit of crossing a whippet with a beddy. Appart from looks what's the advantages? To me the whippet is a sporting dog. Buy one and you get lots of sport and a dog that will give it's all every run. You also have the option of racing it in the summer which is great fun and can enter lure coursing events if you don't mind travelling a bit.

The heat between myselfand fieldmarshall is being run on Monday 1st of December and the ref is Nobby. Fieldmarshall works away and he gets back the last week in Nov but its only fair to give him a week to get his dog back on song after him being away for a fortnight. Spoke to him on the phone yesterday and he seems Brand New. A guenuine bloke and im looking forward to running the heat. Should be a good night. cheers stu

I really enjoy reading anything on running dogs. Thought Merle was a fantastic read and liked rouges and running dogs. The newer stuff by J Darcy is also fantasic. Love both the lurcher books. Love or hate Plummer, he certianly knew how to keep you reading from cover to cover.

I have recently bought a freelander. It will be used mostly on the road but I want to feel comfy with taking it through muddy fields with out it getting stuck. Not serious off roading, but dont know anything about tyres so would appreciate any advice. cheers

I have finally bought a 4x4 and want to get a roof lamp, one that I can control from inside the car that has 360 degrees motion and a decent beam. Not sure where to buy from. Any ideas?

Well done Mark, hard lines Spep21. Sounds like you had a good night. As for the amout of rabbits - so what? you can only catch what's there!! You don't have to justify yourselves to anyone. If you win every heat 9-7 you will win it! Some people will pick at anything and look for chances to take digs at people - just ignore them. However, if mark does pull ou I dont think that spep could come back in. If your beat, your beat. I am sure he wouldn't expect to get back in. Nor would I if I loose to fieldmarshall. Just my opinion.

I try not to jump on the band wagon with things like this but threads like this should be left open IMO. If he is involved in stolen dogs then thats out of order! If you bought a car and found out it was stolen you dont get to keep it so the dog should go back to the lad and the c**t that stole it should be named and shamed. This goes for anyone, the fact that the warner is "well known" is irrelavent. All dog theives are scum as are people who buy stolen dogs!

You can run it at the caledonian whippet club at Longanet power station. (Alloa) Starts 12.30 - 1 every sunday from april to october. There's a few guys bring their lurchers for a run and get a race with them.

I may be wrong (it has been known lol) but I was under the impression that APBT could still be owned under licence. Provided they were netured, muzzled, micro chipped and on a lead at all times? The DDA 1991? has it been revised since then? I thought the problem was the Pitbulls being kept ilegally? (not licenced) Anyone know the official statement and actual law for the DDA?

hello all, my laptop broke and is away being repaired under warranty but comet are messing me about so I went down to PC world and bought a new one. I need to know how to get my email set up on this new one. Basically i have an email account with btinternet.com, they also provide my internet. I dont know where to start to get outlook onto the desk top and also how to get it so I can access my emails again. Any advice? cheers

A friend has done a video o his mobile and sent it to my email address but I cant open it as it is 3gp??? and apparantly my laptop does not recognise this. I have no idea if I can change it so I can watch it. Anyone here know how to do it?

If your stuck mate i'll do it, but i do know S pep. Maybe someone M brick knows could do one half and me the other. Why would we want to cheat? I dont thnk you could cheat - could you? All the judges are really doing is making sure that the correct scores are kept and that no one is being a twat. To me its a bit of fun. Yes I want to win. I would be lying if I said otherwise, but I just want to have a good night out and enjoy it. O nearly always hunt alone so it will be nice to see another dog working too.

hi i went to hanCOCK had problem with the training so gave him a bell for advice before i could finish what i had to say he said if it,s your money back your to late i thought he was an ok bloke but that changed my mind pronto if you want a dog go to a dog man not a farmer i wish you all the best Perhaps that answers the whole Hancock thing? Alot of the people who buy from him can't actually train a dog? Not haveing a personal dig but I think that is the case with alot of the failures.
