Not sure entirely there will be a lot of air pockets which is good aswel But as it collapses and breaks down it starts to release nutrients in to The soil so will be rich and shouldn't need to be dug It also helps retain moisture content deep in the wood Breaking down We will see in a few years how this works for me

I built it myself out of material I scavenge from work I'm a carpenter so easy to get the meterial It's got a tanalized frame at the bottom with ply over the joist then all untreated timber above with Slates lining the ply inside befor the soil and logs went in The slates were lapped and will help keep water away from the untreated timber (Im paranoid about treated timber leaching in to soil ) The external board is untreated larch

courseadog replied to Gin's topic in Living Off The Land & Game Cooking
I started to set this up this year got Californians which are about as good as newzealands As said above loads of vids on YouTube I keep them on wire 1"x1" galvanised with wooden boxes at bottom to catch the shit and piss Which goes on to become the best fertiliser for veg The wire system keeps them very clean The ones I have at mo are just about ready to Start to breed so buy late summer I should be rolling They are a nice animal to keep for meat and a lot easyer To sort less agro then chickens to prep for the table -

We will see and I plan to put plenty in front of mine which in my opinion will make the difference The breeding is there it's down to the man who's running the dog not the man who breed it

courseadog replied to STUNTMAN's topic in Lurchers & Running Dogs
They do look a powerful animal them coyotes and the stag hound fits the bill to take them on I would love to see these run British quarry the red stag is where it's at for a test stunt man Would have loved to see them preban Good topic this one -
That may be the case but there are some in the US that are decent coursing dogs - the dog on the right here is a silken windhound. May be ok doubled up but iwouldn't entertain one Show dogs Edit change it to I I wouldn't entertain one

Aye Them Romans conquered them southen softies but they could do nowt against us up here Check your history mateLook in to bodica and the sacking of Colchester London and Saint Albans the south never rolled over and history is normally distorted as the celts of Britain didn't have much in the way of written down text so most of the sources would have been roman I would think what really happened was more a guerrilla war shich drew a lot of resources And stopped the onslaught of the north and North being Scotland not north of England Thanks for the history lesson.. And Im not your mate
