Thanks for your feedback boys, the second opinion by a vet who actually carries out the surgery was great news. He couldn't feel excessive movement in the joint so doesn't need to operate. I'm made up! Just a few months now with only light walking and hopeful she will be ok - happy days!
My 4 year old Springer bitch has just ruptured her rear left cruciate ligament. Vet recommends an operation so after some feedback on success rates and longevity from people with working Springers please.
The cheapest our syndicate could get it through the landowner (who's also a gun) locally was £160 in June and just paid £170 in July. This is in South Devon.
