  1. Nice going, bet it felt good to be back out lamping
  2. I agree toeing in seems to be a worse fault as I would assume there is less give and this would cause a jarring action in the extreme. Ultimately an extreme of either is bad news, I would think twice about breeding from animal which has this.
  3. The first thing is get the diet right ideally a fresh diet with a good spectrum of nutrients from veg also supplementing with a High quality Evening Primrose Oil which is at least 10% GLA will do the job and a good mineral supplement will help such as Kelp Seaweed powder.
  4. I am interested to know what people consider to be worse for a dogs front legs and feet between these two conformation problems? Toeing out? or Toeing In? I have seen a fair few lurchers with these problems and it seems half the owners don't even know what it is. I have always disliked either problem and considered it a fault in a good dog, but which one is worse for the dogs longevity as a working dog?
  5. I have always found it advisable to check that the dogs taken ferreting get on well, and a youngster will always do much better on its own, until its confidence has grown.
  6. I did say it was not a great example But I have seen it with my own eyes when visiting over the water at Schutzhund tests. There is no doubt its a very fine line .
  7. If your doing hedges, one each side of the hedge. I am not keen on too many dogs out on a serious day's ferreting and I find it pretty off putting for youngsters to.
  8. I agree as with everythng their are variants and your right about the quarry not being so helpful, but I am sure it can be done. Not a great example, but yer get my drift. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rSeqRGCc4pk&feature=related
  9. Shame about the myxomatosis. Sad to see it, but the best training aid for a young dog IMO
  10. I am sure things will get better on here. I don't personally like to post too much up on here due to the fact it is not secure and too many odd balls. I have learnt my lesson thanks to a particularly poisonous member.
  11. Cracking I could do with a weekend like that
  12. Genius, that's where we have all been going wrong for years
  13. New member ehhh Y.I.S Leeview You know what i meant
  14. Yep, bet the tough guys hate me Are you a vegetarian Moll
  15. Why anyone would want a dog they couldn't break of a dead carcass unless they had a stick is pretty strange, by why anyone would want to boast on the internet about it is just plain weird
  16. You can go wrong with Bridport Nets, good company to deal with
  17. Millet, they are just kids trying to convince people they are 'rough tough' big bull cross owners . A break stick can be useful I am sure but you lads are obviously trying to big yourself up more than likely too much testosterone lol
  18. A decent mixer which is baked and not extruded is Laughing Dog wholemeal mixer.
  19. Flaked Maize really is a rubbish for dogs Dances, I would stick with more meat, bone and veg and if anything as a carb a hard baked wholemeal mixer biscuit.
  20. A dog has to use it nose on the lamp, how many times do you send your dog out to a unseen squatter and expect the dog to find it and catch it???!! What you don't want is a dog with it's stern up and it's nose down like a fox hound, but a good lamp dog should use its nose, there is no doubt of that.
