  2. I have fed allsorts of fish including conger eel. I generally feed mackerel and sprats whole, I get them in the summer and freeze them down. From time to time I use sardines in the tin also.

  5. Bitches will always put weight on after being Spayed. I would recommend you simply cut down the volume of food fed to your dog and get the exercise right. Re; Chicken mince, yes it can be good stuff, but try and source good quality as some stuff I have seen looks like mushy soup once defrosted god know where it comes from. I use a Chicken & Tripe free flow mince from Prize Choice, it works out with my discount around £2.98 for 2kg and it good quality.   7. My last two dogs have them and have caused no problem, but I have been lucky and trim them back ever other week. Out of choice I would have them off.

  11. Nice looking pups MR BROOK, feet, depth of chest etc...I have seen the dogs at shows allot ,I always assumed (probably wrongly) they were show dogs good to hear they do a bit of work.
  12. Some good advice on this thread, however I do agree to socialise the pup as much as possible, but PLEASE think about the way the dog sees the world and its temperament. Don't push the dog into too many situations where it is uncomfortable or will react. Read the dog, sus him out, take your time and start with small steps and slowly build his confidence, and don't push it to hard by dumping him in the deep end. Just take it steady, take him out and about, and make sure you are letting the dog go at his own pace, but now at 5months is the time to do this, don't leave it too late.

  21. Spot on, get a vet to do a skin scrape and treat accordingly if it confirms sarcoptic mange.
