    rich like i said the other week, i leave me pup till winter, he will geting toward 17 month old,,, which his to long in many people eyes, some pups get born diff times of the year, which then can fall right for starting in winter, prob round the 10 .12 month mark,,,summer hunting its not for me what so ever,, but its one of them things when you have a pup,,next summer this pup will not see a lamp in summer,,,

    Took me pup out last nite, travelled a'round trip of 360 mile, more time spent in the car than lampin,, the ground was bang on grass and moss,,like a bed mattress,,, the weahter was perfect,,like a winters nite, temp was around the 10 mark just right for the pup,the nite gave him hell of a lot of education, and more so using his head on ground what was unevin,what cud of bin dangerous' for a pup, their was no shortage or rabbs, a little mixy about, but got 36 with him####### robert JIM michem

    will agree with that the ground his the main thing,, like i said come march time when the grass his longer the ground his a little harder or the grass folds down to benifit the dog s feet so its not sinking in up to its wrists,, has the hare become un,fitter, or easer in the space of 28 days,,like some people have said some hares have not started breedin by this time, //////

    i think this post mite get the odd cross,wire,when i am talking about the fitess of the hare i am referring to march because its got over a hard winter then its got the vitamins from the sun and the goodness in its body from the ground and if this hare was to be dropped in july as tomo put the survery said it would be around 9 month mark people wrap up in march because the laws of the land and right they should and its not because the hare gets easier mainly because the ground gets harder and grass gets longer. but going back to what i said if you could put that conditioned hare in march time

    yer i no what your sayin ,not a big lover of killin in summer, but dont want to chuck a dog in the deep end in winter, he wud be 16 month by then, and you cud be keepin a dog that mite be yappin and not have in a good recall,[etc] gives you a peace of mind come the winter...
