  1. wait till xmas day and see what santa brings ye.
  2. you could care less, no recent blood to his knowledge,i assume is coming from the cedar dog, so less call it an old nuttall / gould dog ????????????? you can see with your EAR thats theres recent bull blood there........
  3. good to see lads doing there best for there dogs in this cold weather, good man" buster gonads", but i would have to agree with foxdroppers post, heating is for pups at birth, and when dogs are banged up.
  4. your a bit more than confused if you think theres no recent bull in that dog, old gould and nuttall my arse.
  5. good post stop end. very nice photos.
  6. very good post elisderyn, think one of the pups off "red" came this way. think " p***y" and the lads had him.
  7. if you dont want pups get the bitch jabed by your vet after 24 hours of the mating, brog the pup on right hand side of the photo would be my pick of those pups, but all three pups are quality.
  8. marvin the dog is at an age now that you cant remove his tail at this age, but believe me if your not happy with the dogs tail in twelve months time it can be amputated, seen a few done in my day, if a dog can have his leg removed after a serious accident, then his tail would be like removing a tooth, could discuss this more but not on an open forum.
  9. yes i have seen badger cubs at different times of the year with the work i do. badgers can mate different times of the year. they can also stop the fertiliseation of there eggs in the uterus, to when they think it best for them to have there cubs, its called delaying implantation, then i taught most knew this.
  10. some guys only see what they want to see when they have a dog on trial, you cant put an old head on young shoulders. mosby, what your saying or stating about " the fact is it dont matter who is working the dog if its good its good " is not a correct statment to make, i will wait for others to comment on it before i do.
  11. dogs are born with good or bad immune system, seen the same problems with dogs that have bull blood in there breeding losing hair like your dog. its like when you pass some travellers site and look at there dogs and there half fed, and up to there knees in shit, and there gleaming, well there the dogs with good immune systems, the problem with us dog men is we breed to best digging dogs, and not for good immune systems, i know of one top class dog man who would not breed to a dog that had a weak immune system, guys think hes crazy, but you should see his dogs .its a bit like humans you some ti
  12. very good call simon, thanks for posting up this post.
  13. digger there eyes will open after two weeks, feed bitch away from pups, some bitches can be very contrary, wean them as soon as you can, and take the bitch away once there eating, one bite and a shake and its a dead pup.
  14. good to hear your bitch is going well for you scent.
  15. gaz, i think you have to remember that theres lakeland blood in the patterdale when you go back years and years ago. you would be correct calling them 3/4 patts.
  16. clachan, get some posters done up with a photo of the make of van and the colour of the van, post them up were drivers of cars and vans can see them, print up on the poster " DOG THIEVES IN AREA BEWARE " MAY HELP TO KEEP THEM OUT OF THE AREA.
  17. throw him back over the wall of the rescue centre, go away and get the type of dog you want, how hard is that to do.
  18. there would be no comparison, shooting would win hands down .
  19. to me it sounds like lack of experience from the dog and the lads that are working him. if it was my dog i be looking at the last dig of the season before i decide what to do with him. well off for my first few digs of the season, vans outside, digger seen it happen lots of times, some turn into very good dogs, sit on it for a few months.
  20. i knew of a dog that i dug to on badgers for years, the dog was dug on average about 20- 30 times a season, had over three hundred digs on badgers, then one day at an old age he walked off the game in a nice handy dig, i taught the game bolted, the dog was in tip top condition at all times, this dog could be called out of an earth, might take a half hour to come out, but out he would come, its the dogs that come out without been called off i be worried about, would i breed off a dog you could call out........NO, NO NO. i have seen dogs at deaths door after a good hard dig, there the dogs i b
  21. irish lurcher, its called kennel blindness
  22. bird it might be more about the enviorment your in, the pub could be warm, movement of people in bar causing dust that you cant see, going out in the cold etc. alcolhol is one of gods gift to man if taken in moderation. as you get older you tend to worry about the effects of alcolhol on your body, thats normal, my advise go out and enjoy your few pints, walking dogs in the rain would do more damage to your health, if you dont belive me look in the " bible" there all drinking wine !!!!!!!
