    I know that this topic isnt just about your show but your show is one of the first shows this year and im worried that everyone else is going to follow in your footsteps and leave the whippet racing out of there shows to .

    daz can i ask what your goin to race this year mate A non ped whippetxgreyhound. Hopefully she'll stay under 21". At 8 months she is 20 3/4". She was bought to be a wee rabbiting dog and to race at the odd show. Some people will argue that it's a longdog and not a lurcher depending on who's definition you choose as to what a lurcher is. In my opinion anyone who seriously wants to compete at the lurcher racing needs non ped whippet/greyhound blood. Third time lucky lol Dazzam i have tryed a couple of times today to comment here but using my phone and had problems so here goes for

    janet i can hold a papers only race for the whippets if i get entries but you and i know therell be about three that would show them,if im wrong then ill hold one no bother, will there be whippet showing at your show

    Are you for real , is this dog a pup ? why was it in the unders race? why was it in the pup class and the unders class ? this is all i have asked . I have not said anything to you about working your dogs just about cheating . And yet you still cant tell me the age of this dog maybe if you done it would sort things out .Oh and what all is in your bitch?

    speedy they want to make sure the price of there pups go up that is why they flood unders and the whippet class to make sure they win. why bother going to these shows cause there no point running your dogs when they will go to any means to make sure they win. even putting blinkers on dogs. its getting more like horse racing This is my point alot of men are stopping going as the are fed up with a#s lickers and cheats . And blinkers if it was a working dog it would be chaseing the lure not ofter dogs .

    Oh sorry didnt think pups were aloud to race in that funny how that was the only pup. My problem is with the cheats . So are you saying that a pup can go in to the ring for any class it is suited for .

    Martin has a crossbred Whippet which is unregistered! I did not say it was an unregistered KC whippet. Our classification was KC whippets and unregistered whippets ( not specified as purebred whippets without registration). This to include unregistered whippets of all types. My point was that if a whippet is unregistered by definition its parentage/ ancestry is not confirmed. Short of DNA testing no one can say its a whippet except the owner. We will discuss this with our organisers but it is likely in future we will run classes for whippets ( KC registered) and whippets ( un reg) or (

    People keep saying its all for fun so why is there so many people cheating . That pup was in the pup class and got a second why did she have it in any other class ? If its under 12 months it goes in the pup class if its over 12 months then it goes into the overs OR under classes . And why was it racing on the day aswell was it not for over and unders aswell? To many cheats at these shows and they are making alot of people think twice about going to them .

    the man who had the winning whippet has been on saying he raced it in the non peds class was there such a class? if there was, why was there no class for fully whippets with no papers? . come on now you had long enough to sort this all out or were you only thinking about kc whippets when making up the classes . you were there handing out the prices so can you tell me was martin tuckers dog a whippet or not .Maybe roscrea club were not as good as everyone is making out if they put a lurcher in a whippet class. fairplay to you if you can give me a yes or no to the whippet question.

    it was a non reg whippet class in other words a full whippet without papers . and sure u didnt even stay for the day you got your money and ran .

    went down to the racing on sat and seen a kc whippet race but no un reg whippet race instead i seen what looked like an under 23 race for good sake there was even a rough coated dog in this race and as you can see from pics on here of the winner i think anyone that knows what a whippet looks like knows that is not a whippet . you said there was going to be a kc whippet race and a non kc whippet race what happened why were these dogs alound to run in the whippet class. Maybe im wrong but i thought that a kc whippet race was for people that had papers for there whippets and a non kc was for pe

    what!!! were we at the same show ? we were told it was 5 euro and kids free yea in to the dog show ! we were not told that you had to pay into a farm so that we could get to the show !!! then the racing well when they did get it gonig it was a mess re run after rerun people payed to race there dogs and didnt get to run and didnt get there money back .yes i know it was for a good cause but not even a sorry .

    so my whippets that our full whippets but have no papers still have to run with the so called whippets how is this fair? thing is there is a few people at these shows who have been trying for the past few years to make these shows kc only and you have just gave them a helping hand in this . why not go by height
