Mine get dry food all day so they can pick at it whenever they want. When I'm home from work or before i go if I've got time I will give them meat. Whatever I've got. Used to be rabbit or crow/ pigeon but now I'm not out as much I give them chicken wings from tesco. really cheap £2 for about 8. They love them. Give them a raw egg once every now and then. If you freeze a packet of catfiod and give them that in the hot weather they love that

sarcasm? aye thanks but she retrieved the dummies better than all those posh c**ts dogs raving on about how their dog had come from such a person who breeds amazing gundogs and they had paid sooooo much for them to be at the standard they are . its was some sight watching their faces drop.

hi, i just wanted to let yous all know about a vets that castrates hobs for £46. i know theres people from edinburgh area that may find it hard to get a decent price on this operation, i searched for ages. the prices ranged from £49, in kirkliston 0131 333 3203, £50 at arthurs vets in gorebridge 01875 821 088. up to ridiculous money like £150 at the suregery for small animals in roslin. the cheapest i found was £46 at I.C.R vets in loanhead. the staff were very friendly and the vets is an open clinic 9-10am, 1-2pm, 4-5pm so you can just take them along to get checked out at any of them t

Hi guys. I'm after snarig a few rabbits in the field at the back of my house to feed my ferrets. It's a farmers field and I could easily get permission. I've not see Any rabbits on there apart from one hare. It's a corn field just now. There's bound to be rabbits at one part of the field right? Also what do I look for as there's no obvious runs. I've not been over the top part of the field yet though. What am I looking for? Thanks

I use straw my the sleeping area with some of the Babies old blankets. They roll about and snuggle in and just lie on top if they're warm. I've gt 2 pieces of newspaper with shavings in the half where they shit. Going to try and get hold of a couple of 15inch wide strips of Lino to put there instead of newspaper to stop the piss etc soaking in. Anybody know where I can get some Lino? Atb

I was looking for help on how is the Best way to introduce my ferrets. I've just got a Jill that's 4 years old and neutered. Ive got 3 young un-neutered hobs, one 15 weeks and the other two 8-9 weeks. I put her in te run with the younger ones and she is perfect, very gentle ad doesn't bother them. I put her in the run with my older hob and he just jumps on her and grips her neck and pins her down. The Jill is kind of submissive but hisses sometimes at him and walks off. Although there's a massive age difference he is almost as big as her. I've got the same 'problem' with the 15wk old and

I've got that Jill. She's really gentle, very Dainty. she's spending her first night in a hutch tonight. Put extra bedding in for her and a blanket. She should be warm in there, there's no wind or anything. See how it goes. She's definitely a pet and jot a worker, doesnt look like she's got a bad bone in her body

I've worked on shoots before and done the gamekeeping but no I've not worked her on a shoot. She's not a gundog and never will be, she's our pet and a family animal. I was just 'showing' off the fact that my dog won against other dogs that actually 'work' as gundogs and that she is a dog that was abused, scared and skinny and now she's living her life to the full and beating other dogs at their own 'sport' when she's really just playing.

Never join the army mate. Shite job and you get trapped! Also if your going to shoot a moving bird then you need to start liking shotguns, either that or your chuck Norris on roids. Welcome to the forum mate. We hunt and kill animals because we enjoy it ad a sport/ a way of feeding our animals or eating them ourselves. We have every respect for every animal we kill. Good luck

hi guys. i was looking for some help. i was thinking about getting this 4 year old neutered jill. i was wondering if she could go in with my intact hobs? theyre only 9 weeks onld and one is 15weeks. will the hobs still try to mate with her or will she not give off the 'scent' to be mated with and they will leave her alone? i know they are only babies but they will mature and i was kind of worried about my 15wk old one- will he be hitting 'puberty' soon? im going to get them neutered when they are 6-7 months but was wondering what the score would be until then. any help please

the garage has got a double window in the side, loads of light in there. i found over the winter the garage was a lot warmer than outside and when it was roasting outside the garage was nice and cool. i wudnt put them outside, theres loads of little shits around here that would f**k about with the hutch just bacause its there. you see so many stories on here of peoples ferrets getting stolen. wouldnt have them living in the dark. i know a lot of people that have them in that garage as long as there is light. i understand what your saying though. i would definitley take the ferret but its j

Hi guys. I've posted a thread about a neutered Jill free to good home that lives indoors atm. I was thinking about taking her myself as I've seen her and she's lovely. Only problem is that she has lived in the house for 4 years- would I be able to put her in a hutch in my garage? I'm not sure how fair this would be or if she would survive in the winter etc? Also, could I put her with my hobs? They're only kits just now and hope to get the castrated when they are old enough? Thanks

Forgot to add (because I didn't know) the Jill lives in the house troops. Pm me if interested
