  1. My package arrived this morning from kranky... A bag off polymorph to give a try... A bag of what looks like round rice ... Adding the boiling water... i made a couple of shapes and stuck with these two... The stuff is great... plyable... easily formed and hardens rock solid.. i tried to break it... i cant.... Just my skills as moulding seem rather shite... But thanks for sending it to me... atleast i can say ive tried it now ... I do know a guy who doesnt have space for any tools... and lives in a flat... he exclusively uses polymorph in his kitchen to make gutt
  2. Ferk me... how long are them bands ... They dont even fit on the screen of my ipad ...
  3. Its a CREE 1600lumen (powerful as fcuk) ... lights a field up.... Rechargeable too ... Takes a bit of getting used to shooting with it... Think i paid just iver £15quid for it...http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/CREE-XM-L-T6-LED-Light-Headlamp-1600LM-3-Modes-2x-18650-Batteries-rechargeable-/251288552540?pt=UK_SportsLeisure_Camping_LightsLanternsTorches&hash=item3a81f7045c On the Crimbo list !! 6. I didn't know that ! Better put all those pheasants and partridges back ! Why do you think ive stopped posting kills lately lol and on my hawks thread i cant say what ive had lamping because its the same situation lol You live and learn - I genuinely didn't know that ! I've just asked the wife for a gun lamp for Xmas too! Back to aftershave I guess !! Gun lamp?!! ... Save yer money... get a headtorch (£15ish) ....and use the catapult.... Far more discreet
  7. Its screwed & glued together mate... i had the exact same train of thought as you.... would break your jaw i would imagine ... But in theory it could be used without... i had a few shots and it wasnt moving ... Ross...aye... ill see if that feasable when i next get the urge to make slingshites ...
  8. Seen a couple of roosting pigeons up in the woods out the back of my house... I regularly take a few for the ferrets from here... Armed with my headtorch...my catapult and 14mm lead.... I took one...on the second shot.... It fluttered a little...then dropped behind the fence.... I jumped onto the fence to see what the score was and it was stone dead.... Went round and picked it up...straight in the ferret hutch... Distance wise....hmm.. im not sure... maybe 30yards out...25yards up Cheers. VIDEO...
  9. Gave this a little go... took me no more than half an hour to knock up.... anybody could do it in the same amount of time... My jigsaw was set at a small angle... which gave an uneven cut...one side thicker than the other... But without fixing it too much.... i just cracked on with the idea.... Purely to see how it shot... I scrimped on the sanding and finishing... not too bothered about that... Heres is what i came up with... Its comfy to hold.... no pressure on the wrist...and with a set of HEAVY bands... its effortless... Cons.... Its not pocketable... bulky.
  10. Blimey! ... you dont hang around do you I found it to be an accurate little shooter.... Glad you like it ...
  11. Newt wrong with that mate... The 'roughness' aids with grip IMO... i had a silky smooth hdpe catapult... i liked it a lot... but it was just too slippy....a bit of water and it was like holding a stalagtite My trade was posted last week to germany... should be arriving soon enough.... Same old..same old from me... Ill be trying a few things out over christmas holidays... aluminium cores and going to do a few more naturals... natures freebies .... Soon see what santa brings me... hopefully a workbench and a bandsaw ...
