  1. This was the cat sitting up a tree before the dog had a run of it for the doubters. See if you can spot it.
  2. thanks for helping me get my message across mate. I think you've hunted with the bitch I'm talking about. Gerard had her, he got her off "dooley", the bitch goes by the name of Ripple.
  3. cheers mate the shock was a long one as the "rabbit" ran between a trough and a fence and the whippet x tried to squeeze through the gap but she was a bit big...
  4. Your more fortunate than many of us here pal,but any posts about knacking moggies bring all the wrong attention, from all the wrong sort and impress only the type that should,nt own dogs.Accidents happen in the field and thats were they should stay.It was a stupid question to ask as it could so easily have been answered by yourself the next time you ventured out. I suppose I could've said she was chasing a mouse (the only thing i gather wouldn't attract negative attention in your country?) I just thought I would be truthful because they're a big problem over my way, there feral cats everyw
  5. thanks mate, the reply I was looking for. apart from two of our farms only having electric fences so that's gonna get annoying
  6. steady down tiger!!! you will have a heart atack got anything useful to say? Do you even hunt or are you like the other 95% of people on here that don't?
  7. what the f**k is with all these useless f*****g comments? I ask a question and all you stupid c**ts have to do is doubt me. I live in a country where people actually know that there is time zones and we don't have a "ban".
  8. I just got in from spotlighting (lamping) and my whippet X went to grab a "rabbit" she was chasing and she got shocked by an electric fence, she was covered in water and standing in water so she ran back to me howling. Will this stop her from catching "rabbits"? cheers
  9. I swear this topic has been done before?? I've got one
  10. The land we hunt donk, roo hunting is illegal as is stag hunting. cheers
  11. She's a linebred Roodog, the line has been going for at least 30 years now but it has a base of Borzoi, Irish Wolfhound and Greyhound that I know of . She's 28 inches tts and 61 pound She's a linebred Roodog, the line has been going for at least 30 years now but it has a base of Borzoi, Irish Wolfhound and Greyhound that I know of . She's 28 inches tts and 61 pound thanks mate , are Roo dogs much differnt to stags then .? As from what ive read stags are line bred deerhoundx greys with bit bull or w/hound .? Roodogs are just the smooth coated version. But I believe that

  13. thanks everyone. I used to run her purely on bigger stuff such as cats, foxes etc so she wasn't that good at retrieving, I've had her on heaps of hares lately and it's got her retrieving spot on but made the job on foxes a bit rough. straight after this fox she caught another and tried to retrieve it live while it had a hold of her face lol. cheers
  14. She's starting to retrieve foxes spot on. here's the video
  15. you will have to feed the bitch special supplements, a bitch that young that has pups will lose a lot of strength in her bones and it could be for life. I reckon cull all the pups bar one to keep the bitch from getting mastitis, then cull the pup when it's weaned.
  16. Do you run any Arab X's pal No mate, I have but the dog was culled due to being useless...
  17. Ausnick thats fine with starting them on cubs, have you ever come across a time when your pup is to young to slip on cubs, say your pup is six months old and the cubs are out and about, my problem with ur appraoch would be you are looking for perfect timing regarding age of pup and cubs been around at the right time.. I still say the best way is to slip double making sure the seasoned dog is well into the red before ya slip the pup. JMO and I take ur point. No doubt I would start mine doubled up if it wasn't that point of the year. I think a lot of people just breed their dogs at the
  18. I and almost every other person I know that uses dogs start their dogs on cub foxes and go from there. I started mine on cubs and one was a crazy good fox dog, hated them with a passion. Then I've got another one that treats them like rabbits/hares and will kill them and bring them back without putting a mark on them
  19. Sounds like a cull to me. Think as if you were in the same position as the people that only used to get fed off their dogs, if it's not doing the job it's not worth to be in the yard.
  20. When I did it I just chose the larger ones that were more consistent with body shape, size etc. does seem a bit of a lottery but if you use really good dogs it will be less of a lottery and you shouldn't really have any shit ones unless you're really unlucky
  21. No one in this world can tell which ones wont be the best at a few months old either... hancock breeds for money doesn't he? he doesn't even work them? so many ex racers also get put down each year... a lot more than what go to homes.
