Baikal 12G o/u..... Never let you down -
Scothunter I'm not talking to you, you called me a c**t you're right they do exist, but if someone owns them then surely they should recognise theres a problem and do something about it?
-
I accept that as well, like I said some humans are too (Andres Beiring Brievek, Raoul Moat, Derek Bird etc etc etc), so I know some are always gonna be tapped but the majority aren't.
-
I know what you're saying, some dogs don't, some people say they looked fine but in reality weren't looking when they mauled them in response to stepping on their paw (not saying you did!). There is always a reason that a dog attacks, and IMO it's usually the fault of the owner, that's all I'm saying.

I understand mate but theres a number of things that people don't understand about dogs - if you have a naturally protective breed (ridgeback, rottie, shar pei etc) then there's no need to train them as guard dogs (unless obviously police, army etc), usually they end up too aggressive because the people who own them subsequently think that because they are 'trained', then they know exactly what to do in all situations. Secondly, the amount of lazy f*****g owners who can't be bothered to properly excercise their animal is unbelievable. A bored dog full of energy is a nightmare irrespective of t

what a load of bollocks, tell that to the rodesian ridgeback that ripped the pants of me and mauled both of my knees ,the only body language he gave off was a waggy tale A load of bollocks? Strange how many people who apparently work with animals and in the countryside etc are quick to paint one species the same colour. No better than the idiots who pass ridiculous laws in this country based on hearsay and public outcry...

Do you have no idea who it could be?

What I meant was that if you know it's aggressive then you should know how to act. If you don't know the dog then you should know how to act. If you don't know how to act around an animal then don't go near it. I've handled aggressive dogs a few times, most of them with idiot owners, but have never been bitten. The only time I have been was as I said when I was younger and didn't know as much as I do now. So if I had an aggressive dog I'd be comfortable living with it and trust it because I know how much excercise to give, how to act around it, where to draw the line, how to punish etc etc. Al

Double post.

You can trust any dog, even the aggressive ones, as long as you know what you're doing and the warning signs. Very rarely does any animal not give off warning signs that they're unhappy but most people can't read their body language so things happen.

When I was 8 years old I was attacked by a Pitbull. The owner had left it unattended in the garden and it escaped, us being kids took it to our friends dad who tied it up and called the police. One of the girls in the group was messing around and screaming with another girl, I didn't read the signs that the dog was getting very excited so when I put a bowl of dog food down for it he decided he wanted a chunk of my arm instead, and believe me it's true when they say that once Pitbulls get a hold they don't let go. Anyway it was frightening as a child to go through that but it has never affected

I will be signing up today mate -
The thing is I've got 10+ years experience with firearms, the reason I am ''supposed'' to wait is because I was in a bit of bother a few years back with the police etc. I think I just need to put it in and take the plunge
-
After recieving my SGC earlier this year, I was told by my FEO to wait 'at least a year' before applying for my FAC, mainly to prove I am responsible. The problem is that now I have a real need to own a firearm, due to the fact that I'm working on a very large estate with the gamekeeper. So the way I see it, I have a need, not a want, to apply for my FAC and I'm going to have to do it soon. I get a feeling I may get blown out but I'll appeal it, what do you all think? If there's a need then they can't really refuse it.

Anschutz 1417? I know CZ are now doing a version of the 452 with a thumbhole stock.

^^^^ Not anymore, too many grasses looking to make an example of you it's only changed in the last couple of years

Ive asked for more than I need so I can pay a years insurance and do repairs/services etc, but the other thing is when someone does a credit check and declines you that's yet another bad mark so I might have to look into ones that don't do a check cheers for the advice mate.
-
I have 1 default on my credit file from 3 years ago for a couple of hundred quid (which has now been settled), and even though everything alse is excellent I can't get a loan anywhere. Unless I choose to pay 62% interest! It seems that if you have had trouble before then the answer is to get in more debt that is probably unmanageable, rather than have a decent interest rate with a manageable amount. Snapped, I need a new car but it looks like I'll have to get a new set of boots first!
-
The problem is though, it's easy for everyone to say get on with it and man up but if he pays it is also an admission of guilt. And how's that gonna look on any future SGC/FAC applications? I've accepted a shedload of cautions before even when I would have a good case in court, but you take the easy option and surprise surprise they keep popping up, I need to declare them and you often don't realise the damage a simple fine or caution can do until later on.
-
Get legal advice, then go back to where it happened and have a look about - you might get lucky and find CCTV not operated by tesco pointing in that direction. If the Police didn't follow procedure then it could be wrongful arrest - if you weren't shouting and swearing then why didn't they ask for your version of events before arresting you? I'd fight it but then again I'm an idiot haha
-
Easier way to get around it is to site a camera ''with the intention of recording wildlife activity''. If someone happens to be caught on it doing something illegal, then you have an obligation to hand it in anyway
-
I've had dramas with bellend coppers on the doors before, as soon as you refuse them or have to get them out because they're making an arse of himself, then the threats start. I also know someone whose fiancée ran away with a copper and he told him he'd ''get him in shit'' if he did anything to him. That's why I can't stand the police, absolutely spineless. In your situation I would gather as much evidence as I could (CCTV, witness statements etc), and instead of making a formal complaint, bypass the detective super and write to his superiors outlining your concerns. Also add if anything else

First thing I'd buy would be a nice shiny new wife or 2...
