  1. I've a Harris 9-13 inch swivel bipod that gets a fair bit of use when I'm static on all of my rifles mate and its a great tool. Make sure you get the swivel base for levelling your rifle on uneven ground and nothing smaller than the 9-13 inch model or your struggle when your in the prone position. Just fit a QD stud to your HW 100 and the Harris being quick release you can fit it and remove it in seconds ! Some of the lads on here rate the cheaper Deben model too.
  2. My cleaning regime for my rifles has always been quite thorough, although barrel's tend to only have a pull though after using up a batch of rounds or pellets. That said I've never had a massive point of aim shift mate. My worst fear would be looking down a rifle barrel full of rust and muck ! If your rifles clean and your shootings great then its happy days all round lads.
  3. Miller the post wasn't aimed at you It was for the idiot at the start who was banging on about poaching.
  4. I've also got the f1 but quite fancy something more portable as you say, I guess its time to dig out some ££ !
  5. Yep great book alright the trap making was a good laugh when me and my brother was younger
  6. Bash on mate. Forget about the work in return, just fill your boots, The entire south yorkshire area is now yours. Just tell them Rake said it was OK. Just remember you MUST shoot all the deer as well, pesky fekers. ATB
  7. Alright lads are these units any good ? The only reason I'm asking is that trying to find one is like gold panning at the moment unless your looking to pay over the odds on Ebay !
  8. What a cannon of a rifle the HW80 is ! German engineering at its finest and a beauty to look at too well done with that mate.
  9. Always fancied a golf course for a permission, well done mate.
  10. Fascinating read I must say that I very impressed with the groupings your having considering that your making these yourself mate.
  11. 2000 acres and your begging on here ??? Whiff of bullshit in the air I fear !
  12. Like having an Avatar picture that looks like a SAS wannabe !
  13. Have a look on You Tube for EdgunUSA mate he has loads of clips of him using a camera for filming with that are awesome.
  14. Never felt the need to lube my pellets mate and if I was to it sure wouldn't be some POXY engine oil !!!! Like Mole said stick it in the motor and leave well alone.
  15. Whats all this Bollocks ! First post on and your asking for poaching advice. f**k me this sites a magnet for pricks it seems at times !
  16. Thanks for all the replies lads Looks like a Brocock is on the to buy list ! My Simons WTC 1.5 - 5 x 20 has been waiting for a sweet little rifle like this.
  17. Blimey thats some stew your going to make with that lot !
  18. As above lads has any one any thing to say on this rifle ? Like how well it shoots, reliability, handling, workmanship. I'm thinking of getting myself a dedicated ratter and fancy something in 177 thats light, shoulders well and is a PCP. Any comments as I've held one in the local gun shop and it felt very nice.
  19. Sound lads thanks for the reply's I think I'm going to try it and see if its any good on noise reduction for a lark this weekend. Keep you posted on the results.
  20. OK cheers for that, was just wondering as the Weihrauch mod is so effective even on the FAC air that it might be worth trying hair curlers on a sub .22 rifle.
  21. At this time of year I find the nice lazy afternoons followed by the evenings the best time to have ago at the tree rats. As for baiting them in its a bit hit and miss if theres loads of natural food lying around.
  22. I've had ago with that Tru-Oil on a old BSA lightning I had lying around and its great stuff leaves a great finish, smells great and is hard as nails ! Just like Stealthy says follow the instructions and have a search on youtube, loads of videos of Yanks using it on rifles.
  23. What sort of benefit would the N1000 laser have over the IR300 ?
  24. Great Rifle mate I've the HW100 KT in 22 and its as tough as they come just keep it clean and tidy with a quick wipe down after a days shooting with it. And one thing to look out for is the barrel sometimes rotates ( very rare ) but simple to fix buy nipping the grub screw up under the barrel in the block.
  25. Great looking bit of kit you've made Zini I bet you was well chuffed when it all worked out and came together. Think I'm going to have a crack at knocking one up for a little project too.
