your not looking at the bigger picture mate, its not about putting these things together, its the cost of manufacturing the vital components to the tolerances your looking for after someone's fettled it by hand for hours on end. these rifles will be made on cnc machines and the allowable tolerances will be given with the plans. for instance you ask me to make you something from mild steel, you give me tolerances of 40 thou i'll give you a price, then you ask for the same thing to be made but with a tolerance of a micron i'll give you a price that'll make you throw up I fully understa

WAIT, just one cotton picking moment Ladie's Hold your twennytwoo's n onesenenty sevens! THINK Before you line up that crosshair and press the fecking trigger "Ring Neck" Parrakeets are on the GL's But others are not (yet)!!! There are a couple of Parakeets in the centre of this god forsaken sh!te hole, but I can't just wander down the town centre and pop em off (much as I'd like to) even though I could do it without someone bitching about the 50ft rule For this pair aint Ringnecks The noise you describe suggests they are ringnecks, but please check I'd hate to fin

Wouldn't you say the same could be said with Theobans playing off the name of the Rapid 7 to produce some dodgy workmanship and a customer relationship that seemed at times to be a suck it or see ? I'd say that most blokes who buy a rifle will end up getting a modification done to it due to personal preferences 99% of the time. My rifles that I own certainly didn't need any work doing to them to get them shooting properly in my opinion but it was something that I felt needed doing to give me that little bit more. At the end of the day be it BSA, Theoban, Weihrauch or Air Arms you can

I'd say that most PCP's will be hard work due to weight mate, maybe a BSA Ultra but I'm not sure if they come in FAC power levels.

My Jack Russell's exactly the same mate, he comes back but just not straight away.

Yes what was I ever thinking! I might have to polish right back yet, I have all the stuff to do it so its not a drama, but if it turns out ok its a bonus and a time saver cheers for the comments lads If you go down the polish route mate have a look on the car restoration websites as those lads should know a thing or two about keeping the shine good.

To be fair though I know a few lads that have had work done to HW100's and Rapid 7's in order to get them shooting right. BSA Super 10's shoot fine out of the box when you could buy them new, its just that having a blueprint turns a good rifle into a fantastic rifle ! I don't doubt that for a second mate but how often do we hear about Rapids, HW's, S410's or any other pcp for that matter being "blueprinted"? Not very often as they usually shoot superb from the box...except maybe for a few. It just seems to be BSA's. That seems to be (going by by what i've read anyway) because BSA made

Bet that was a nervous moment when you started wiping down the barrel mate ! Shame that the bottle didn't come out the same, mind you I'd of took it right back and polished the Aluminium to a shine. Can't believe you camouflaged that wood mate........! It's looking really good.

Really ? What calibre is it and did you have to restore it ? -

I love old rifles, and british made rifles especially. Fascinating that it has two power levels, have you tried measuring the different fp levels ? -
Or try having a look on the Weihrauch Air Rifle forum, they have a list of serial numbers.

Not sure, but using the nitro-mors to get it off will probably take off any blue that was there before... I'm not sure if the shroud and bottle are blued or if they are some sort of spray coating, at least i was sensible enough not to do the action so that dosnt need touching Could you not try removing the camouflage with something less harsh on the barrel, maybe caustic soda ? I'm pretty sure that most bottles aren't blued but have some sort of powdered paint thats been lacquered, if you want you could try taking it right back and polishing the Aluminium to a high shine. D
