my old springer i put down in january this year was a big lad he was 13 nhalf yrs old. got him fae a retiring keeper when he was 9yrs old. he was bred in wales. and i wasd told he was " old english style" his immediate sire was badgercourt moss. lot of folks asked me what he was crossed with??!! due to his size!!! but most springers i see these days are small fast beasts!!! heres some pics o me old dog....only had 4 n half years but he was a cracker. miss him sauer

as said already 3-shot...... anymore is a fac job and for vermin only !! now if you have a gac semi auto and say go to the ducks with it even tho you only shove 3 into it....if local plod who knows his way round guns appears and check you out you could end up losing your certificates and weapons for misusing your weapons against what they are stated for on your certificates. i know of someone this happened to ....it aint worth the risk as someone else said 3-shot ....more sporting rather than a slaughter anyway sauer

What's the best way to cook pheasent???
sauer replied to a topic in Living Off The Land & Game Cooking
www.gametoeat.co.uk try addy above also type in game rciepes in google youll get plenty........ if you take time to pluck it and keep skin on you can roast it...if not then take into consideration that it could dry out quickly!!! maybe wrap in bacon or similar rough guide low n slow = low heat for long time...like slow cooker hard n fast = high heat quick time ...like grill frying etc i sometimes just take breast off so you havew a couple o fillets just like chicken...... without the skin wrap in bacon wrap up in foil loosely ... put in oven 200 degrees -
2. The breed is my friends, she called them Labringers 20yrs ago. How would you like people to call your children by another name? 4. I have not contradicted myself. I truely believe they will make good beating dogs. The short tail is a bonus for this line of work. how would i like people to call my children by a different name???? what the !!!!!!??????? we are talking a breed of dog here not a specific childs name!!!! springador or labringers!!!! does your friend have the patent or right o whatever you call it to stop other people calling a breed for what it is????

hi david we have a couple o pheasant feeders in the area of our deer and they use it a bit...we dont mind as it gives em a wee bit extra we also tried using "saltz paste" i think it was called just scraped saome on to head height branches etc and they seemed to go for it !!! we got our hands ona couple o salt blocks as well that year and again worked well. mother n laws garden has trees galore ...apples etc end up with a few binliners worth i always take and throw out too. my brother found one of these farm shops where you just help yersel then put the money in the trust

ok ok ok forgive my ignorance here but whats the difference????? guy keeps remiding everyone these are" labringers" = labrador x springer.....????? am i right in this??? but guy keeps saying they are NOT "sprinagadors" = springer x labrador.....????? again am i right?? if so...whats the bloody difference???? i need this explained to me also as pointed out umpteen times........"no idea what they will be like in the field" so not bred for field so for what??? show??? alot of this n that then totally contradicts himself.....mmmm mongrel.....cross....
