trappa i never sterilise any of my sweetie jars basically give evrything a good scrub in hot soapy water thats it..... quicker i get the stuff made quicker its ready ...hehehehehe never had any problems....sounds like all your doing is substituting my sweetie jar for the voddy/ gin bottle canna see a problem sauer

What I found is that cheap Lidl mincers and hand mincers do not give the texture of shop/butchers mince. I was lucky and purchased an ex-butchers mincer which to my surprise produced mince with the correct texture (obvious I know but something that came as a surprise). When we are processing a deer, I use the lidl mincers as a sausage stuffer and it works very well indeed. I guess it all depends up on what results you are trying to achieve. I found the cheap electric mincers tend to clog up very quickly and you spend more time stripping them than actually using them but that might be because I

1 big ols sweetie jar (plastic type ok) 1kilo of fruit any fruit you want 250 grams of castor sugar 1 litre of vodka or gin ( supermarket own brand fine) 1) take the fruit and prick the skin if smaller berries...if bigger cut in half, put in sweetie jar 2) add 250 grams o castor sugar to jar with berries 3) add yer liter of whatever posion you choose ( voddy or gin) 4) seal lid ( i use cellotape) and put in kitchen cupboard....cool n dark 5)everyday for 1st fortnite remove and shake gently after this period sugar will have dissolved so shake gently weekly basis. 6)

ok ive managed some cracking rabbit dishes done low n slow ....slow cooker for example i usually soak my rabbits overnite in water.. but no matter what i do when i try a stirfry dish or barbie...or basically cooking rabbit quick ...i get it chewy or rubber like !!!! any tips to prevent this??? sauer

do get what you pay for but im now working an EI YOUNG electric mincer at around £ 145..its ace...but i started with one from argos and it is still going strong.... i know a couple o folk who bought lidls one and still working...just dinnae think its an industrial unit and take your time with it...29.99 quid aint bad!!! if going to make sausages honest its far better easier and quickert if you buy a seperate sausage stuffer rather than use the combo type on your electric mincer i bought my ei young electric mincer and a hand crank dedicated sausage stuffer from www.bushwear.co.u

ok sorry to hijack the thread but its kinda relevant query for you guys still on subject o bad weather, after your stalk what products/oils/sprays etc do you guys use for drying/cleaning your rifle and how far do you go with cleaning if rifle been out in real downpour?? i usually drop the stalk and dry and lightly oil everything up sauer

funny reading bout burying the head i spoke to a guy who used to look for an ants nest then bury his head close by mark it obviously so could find again leave for 3 months....said that when he'd go back that the ants usually stripped it clean!!! sauer

ok heres what i do with any fruit and spirit be it voddy or gin 1kilo or 2lbs o fruit ( make sure skin is pricked or if bigger fruit cuit in bits ) 8 ounces or roughly 240 grams o castor sugar 1 litre bottle o gin or voddy 1 air tight container put pricked fruit into container add sugar add alcohol o choice seal container keep in dark cool cupboard every day for 1st two weeks take out n shake gently after that once a week shake ... or when you remember!!!!! leave for MINIMUM 3 months but better if left for 6 months then seive off fluid from fruit mush and bottle

yup best practice to remove gralloch as s oon as practibly possible after the shot, yje stomach can gas up and rupture which in turn taints the meat sauer

why do you have the gralloch at home? never seen anyone take the gralloch back with them also.........gralloch on site make a small scrape slice the stomach and leave everything in the scrape foxes will do rest sauer

i used to do same with salt left with a skin that wa slike bit o cardboard.... need a very sharp knife and carefully scrape the skin tissue off of the "hide" once done this i used a cheap big bottle o moisturiser 99pence job just cover and massage in well till skin back to soft flexible supple self you must get all the skin tissue off or it will rot and stink usually just hand sewed 2 or 3 together the bloody cat always use dto take a major shine and sleep 24 bloody 7 on the things couldnt get her backside of of em sauer

well its not there for the petting!!! that is in S.africa i was ther in January working and i went cage diving for the day on the very same boat!!!! (recognise the crew) there is a small town 2hrs from cape town called Gaansbai (pronounced hansbay) and they have dwyer island bout 20 minutes out from them and there are SEVEN shark diving boats all working out of one small village they are governed by strict government rulings and yes as was stated correctly they are baited in and you can see the bait line in the pics. if anyone has the chance to do this i highly recommend it, ive
