  4. hello apollo cheers mate yeah we had a good morning... was my first outing with "multiple boltwork" and i did not too bad me thought.... everything up till now doe wise has been a single "dry" doe or a last years doe calf. so bit more lessons learned this morning!!!! as for te coke chiller basically what v-max ( my brother ) is saying....all we did was use the existing holes that are in the chiller for shelving ...put up stainless flat bar front and back both sides and cross supported was easy really without any major "fabricating or bastardising" the chiller in any way s
  5. poin taken baldie and a good un too v-max has his on fac i do not. can anyone answer this regarding legality etc brand new factory 3-shot semi auto ( totally standard no mods at all) that can take legal standard 65mm catridges but will hold 3 in the "mag" rather than legal 2???? whereas 2 in the mag all other catridge lengths therefore making it technically if so used a 4 shot ? where would you stand with this one?? sauer
  6. fit like v-max ??? i have not long had a webley & scott 810c 3 shot and it fires anything i put thru it so far including 65mm.... to the point that if using 65mm i can put 3 in the "mag" 1in the barrel AND it cycles em no probs!!! hehhehehehee 4 shot!!!! sauer

  15. brilliant photos smudge i dare say that going out without the rifle but taking the camera would also be a good way of getting some practice in for the stalking itself!!! again nice photos sauer
  16. cheers guys rifle is fairly new so no worries there..... was really curious but glad to know the oily rag works coz thats what i been doing so far and again taking bolt out and storing seperatly. mind at rest now thank you sauer
  17. Question: i am happy about how to clean my rifle and its bore BUT i read something (shooting times i think) about the twin lugs on the end of the bolt.... ie that over time if they are not lubricated you get wear which increases head space and therefore a loss in accuracy due to increased "play" IF so then what do or would you lubricate the locking lugs on the end of the bolt with?????? grease?, 3 in 1? silicone grease???? i have no idea with what to use for this job??? what do you guys use?? sauer
  18. it WAS Alan Allison who measured it after i phoned him told him the date ettc etc and who said to still bring it down. and if i didnt consider realistically coming to you i wouldnt have private messaged you im not in habit of wasting my time.. if i asked it was genuine no offence but i think i know better than you what i think and feel and yes i intend to go back and get it re-weighed.
  19. i know nothing bout the biggest buck him and a guest shot it years ago before i was shooting. and as for the most look back the posts and show me where i said ive shot loads....not i said before i have only been doing this for 2 years. i also private messaged you after you offered to help with a witnessed stalk in a previous post and you havent replied as regards the head i phoned a couple of guys who measure heads and was told to bring it in despite 90 days not lapsed to get ( was shot 29/07) a prelimenary assessment. i have been given a certificate and told to bring it back afte
  20. just got the results back from measuring and the head came backwith 119.7 points. so first medal head and a silver
