  2. Went up my local perm the other night for a quick walk about before dark and decided to take some photos had 9 in total. Had my best shot so far at 49 paces (I'm 6'4") fell straight down. Well happy. going to pcp has made all the difference for me especially in .177. Cheers all
  3. Okay, bit too far away from me. Cheers
  4. Fiish black minow is a good lure. Rubber sand eels live sand eel. Poppers in the summer. I fish about 50 yards offshore still a bit early in the season for any bigguns though! Any decent lure will do they're sight predators so fish light I use 8 lb maxima with a light spinning rod ☺
  5. Hi pete down plymouth again will be going through Taunton Sunday afternoon if that's a good time for you. will I be able to pick up a green one and possibly a red for a friend will pm you my number again just in case you don't have it . Cheers
  6. Picked one of these up the other day and do exactly what you need with a small area of light (15-20ft) cirle at 200 yards no scaring of everything in the area brilliant bits of kit no more carrying around heavy lamps and batteries well worth the 40 quid and will definitely be taking another one when you get the greens in stock. Ben
  7. I'll take on for 40 quid and I'll be driving through Taunton later if I can pick up
  8. Oh and it's going to be put to sea. pity your so far away id have sorted you with tp and af. where abouts are you situated, heading up to Scarborough in two weeks for man week (fishing, shooting and drinking) away from the missus.
  9. Just remember, when you grind off the gel coat of the hull you will have to replace it. The gel coat is what keeps the hull water proof. when the hull is made it starts with the gell coat painted on to a mold then the GRP is layed on topof the gel coat. You can get Flow coat which can be painted on and has the same properties as gel coat (a waterproof wax and other chemicals added to the resin) from most roofing supplies, you may have to add pigment to it to match the hull, but that is not a big problem. Good luck. TC Oh right didn't know that. I was roofing up till October last year
  10. Oh and it's going to be put to sea.
  11. It's been sat in a garage for two year's so all the paintwork is pretty knackered and flaking off all over no blisters that I've seen yet. Even with a mask on ended up with a headache from the smell. Just gone over it with 40 and going to go over it again with a really fine paper to get a smooth finish. Even the marine paint costs a fortune per litre! But I'll keep this updated when I get chance to get to work on it again.
  12. My dad was given a boat a while back and we've just got round to sanding down the old paintwork ready for the new spent about 3 hours on it so far and haven't even touched it been using a belt sander with 40grit paper. Also he got an engine with it a yamaha p200 water cooled outboard but cant seem to find anything on the web about it. Here's a few pics will keep this updated as we go along.
  13. A place like maplins or equivalent probably your best bet.
  14. I was using a .22 the other guy was after foxes with a bigger calibre and the 3rd guy had his .17. As I said all shots we're thought to be rabbits but we're hares sat tight under the light and being a fairly new shooter I took them saying rabbit as a given all shot's We're safe otherwise I wouldn't have taken them as I didn't with my first possible shot . I do appreciate what your saying and I would feel a right t**t if I took a hasty shot thinking it was something legal and it turns out not to be because of impatients. Just wanted to share my nights outing.
  15. Yeah you should I see your point but both rabbit and hare are similar when sat tight and both legal quarry any time of year unlike the uncertainty with the eye's at the edge of the wood wich weren't shot at because of the uncertainty. All shots were safe in the knowledge that the quarry would be legal and in the capable range of humane dispatch with appropriate calibre.
  16. Just a quick one as I'm on my phone. I got invited out with a friend to go lamping for foxes on Friday, we got there drove the first two fields and saw a pair of eyes light up we weren't sure what is was so we tried to call it closer as it was sat on the edge of a wood but it turned around and went into the wood. We then got out and walked another three fields where we saw another fox fox in a field down the valley as he got into position it ran off and didn't respond to any calls so we walked back and saw some rabbits I had a .22 so it was my turn unfortunately I was shaking like a leaf and w
