With there being a recent outbreak of parvo round the country and also a couple of dogs coming down with and quite a number of ferrets dieing of distemper i wouldn't hesitate to get the booster done, most vets do the 3 year vaccine now anyway, only thing your boosting for in between is lepto.

You don't need a a specialist food - try a food for the older dog 7+ i think as its designed to stop them from gaining weight and should have lower calorie levels.

Your problem is this: i have had her for 2 weeks, , we were getting on great, after a week i put her in the garage in a kennel and run next to my greyhounds, all she has done is twist and bark, you have totally confused the dog and now made it frightened that you are going to do something to it whilst its outside, best thing you could have done is put it in the kennel from day one, not shoved it outside after having it indoors for a week with the kennel you may have to take it slowly and take her out to do things like eat or play in the kennel, so she associates it with good th

I thought that and i still do trust my dogs to a certain extent. But what changed my mind was when 5 of my dogs all over the ages of 6 some were over 8 attacked one of the others they had been living with for around 5 years, i had - had them dogs since being born and all 5 packed up against just the one, luckily enough we managed to split them up, but they had done some damage - the bitch had quite a few deep holes in her if there had been no one there, then it could have ended badly, them dogs did it twice and in the end i separated her from them. after being separated they were fine

Neutered dogs at Lurcher shows
chook1 replied to woodys mum's topic in Gamefairs, Meet Up's and Events
If you give a bitch the close inspection that ANY dog in a show ring deserves, you will feel the spaying scar. Cheers. If a vet has done his/her job properly you shouldn't be able to see or feel a spay scar, you cant on my bitch and you couldn't on the rescue bitch i have hear that ended up going in for another spay. -
End of the day no matter how a dogs brought up or what breed of dog it is dogs will be dogs, they all have the instinct in them to fight with others whether there just pet or working dogs doesn't make a blind bit of difference - your dog could be fine for years then one day just go for another. What you have to remember is they are dogs - no matter how much training you put in or if they know your "pack leader" or not - a dog is not human and its down to us to read our dogs, understand our dogs and know when something is wrong. My dogs are all well socialized - they all live to

Depending on when your pup came down with it and how would depend on if and when your other dogs show symptoms of it, it can take between 5 days to a week after the initial animal showed symptoms and even then your not out of the woods, as your other dogs might not become ill or show symptoms but could become carriers and pass it on to other dogs or if they get stressed or anything that compromises their immune system - could come down with it then. I lost two to parvo around 15/16 years ago, had 8 dogs at the time, a couple of the others showed mild symptoms being sick etc the rest

The 3 i owned were certainly not thick - all 3 English bred my pup got poised when she was around a year old and died but the dog and bitch both had drive - put it one way no one came near our house if them buggers got out and were in the front garden - both did there jobs well (guard dogs) both walked off lead everywhere actually they didn't know what a lead was.

what pills or spot on do you use and how often?
chook1 replied to Jamo's topic in Working Dog Health & Training Talk
Don't use anything - only treat for fleas when needed, and only worm about once/twice a year, my dogs arnt scavengers so don't need worming as often. However that's in the uk - in other country's especially were there's heart worm etc, i think i would worm more often. -
just copied Ha Ha Ha pmsl

Just be careful if you copy what someone else has done, as you could get done under the copy wright law if its known that you copied someone else's work. I had this commissioned a couple of months ago of my two dogs.

That was Blackpool Zoo craigyboy Its not a bad zoo - there's quite a bit to see, although with it being out of season there wasn't as much on and they kept a lot of the animals in through the cold, when its much warmer you can walk through with the ring-tail lemurs around you, there's also the amazon you can walk through where there's small monkeys and birds around you loose and there's a walk way through the roo and wallaby enclosure, so you have a chance to get up close to some of the animals. Yes Kay he loved every minute of it - he loves animals especially birds.

At the Zoo - my nephew turned two on monday, so took him out for the day. Most of the animals were being kept in - as it was freezing.

It would depend on type and size, your friend really needs to have it checked out by a vet, as some can cause problems - others can be left, if it's a bitch and he bred from it, it can cause the hernia to open more as the stomach grows, even that though wouldn't present a major problem depending on the type of hernia. One of my bitches had one, the vet recommended massage a few times a day whilst she was relaxed, hers was only a small one, the massage helps to push anything back in so the hole can heal over, but as said get a vet to check it before hand.

I would probably flush the eyes out also.

If she fit an healthy and is gaining weight/growing etc - then i wouldnt worry. I wouldnt give her oxo, as its high in salt and can cause damage. you could try some raw meat insted of one of the dry meals and with the soaked dry add a small amount of wet food something like natures diet or wainwrights (pets at home sell). If shes the only dog you have then that can sometimes be whats wrong, some pups can be picky and fussy when they go in to new homes, especaly if they've had to compete for food with their siblings. We had a sproillie who was like that she didnt eat proper for 5

Because disc's can get damaged more easley and you dont have to wait till you get a few folders on your laptop just connect up and transfer them over, saves time, energy and money. Tbh i wouldnt be with out my external now, it means i can keep all my pictures safe and get most of the crap off my computer and on to that.
