    the joys of theory , please show us a terrier you have bred that works or any terrier that you have worked , working meaning dug to, a empty vessel make the most noise ..you've been on these boards for years now paper chasing and given us the benefit of your knowledge , but in real terms what have you done with working terrier that allows you to even give a opinion ?

    i can still remember when terrier shows were a place like minded people got together for a bit of crack sorted out studs, gifted or sold pups, even watched a chicken or two dance , the vast majority of terriers were white , the rest were the newly named patterdales or border/lakey , these border /lakey terriers where not a cross but the working blood of northern england neither lakeland or border include the patterdale they on the whole were just the smooth haired ones, these strains were just the working animals the show boys hadn't yet f****d up with there rush for KC ribbons, the ugly lit

    Yes Apache , it says it 55% protein i feed it after 48 hour of soaking they love it , easy to store and by there calculations 15kg dry should be 45-50kg soaked

    i've just started mine with dry meat mainly to save on freezer space and so far so good , i'll still keep the frozen chicken i use but this dried beef will be feed once or twice a week

    Your right Task i did , but like i said i gave up the idea of ever going to Ken again , He breed some of the best blacks at one time and the legacy of Smithy will never diminish not many lines that don't carry that blood Jack hasn't been a outcross as yet for me, i farmed out the litter and a cracking lot to work they where, they have been line bred by a friend and more of my nuttall blood has been added and a touch more parks, the plan is to bring it in maybe in the next gen but also maybe not all i can say is thank god for the likes of nuttall and gould i'd of never got a black

    I went to Kens in 89 to buy a black pup , he only had 3 coloured terriers there , but had two rows of kernels in a huge shed , there where bitches in all these kennels in pup or with pups , he must of been knocking out hundreds, none looked like they had seen outside the kennel never mind a earth , these pups played a big part in the makeup of the soon to be parson russell, the dog flint was his main stud, these could of had working blood in them but that was not the concern , the black pup never came to anything and that's when my interest in anything breed by gould finished
