  1. i wouldnt mind a blitz myself, would you split lamp and batteries? and how much ,could be picked up, cheers ,
  2. ive got a lurcher which is about 17 month not had a season yet,
  3. how big is his sleeping end? might be to big, had this before with a pup , all i did was to make the sleeping comp smaller and it worked,
  4. got mine a bit since from optics warehouse £113 plus vat +del about £13o odd pounds, i swear by mine, i use mainly a striker but sometimes a cluelite with a 100watt bulb,great bit of kit,as for them not working well with a blazerlite? a mate got a new battery+blazerlite for xmas and he`s happy with it,i tend to do a nights lamping and top the battery up ,
  5. the new batterys are so light u dont know u are carrying them, u can also charge them up after one nights lamping even if they are not flat without any harm, i use a striker and a clulite with a 100watt bulb(converted)i havent run it flat yet, no need too, just top it up,
  6. anyone who is intrested ,go on u-tube and type lightforce lamps (how tough are they)
  7. i have the new lithium ion battery from debon and i think they are great, best thing going,no complaints with it at all,
  8. there is a video clip on u-tube of a lightforce unit being tested for strength, it is bounced off a concrete floor again and again , it is also shot at with a shotgun , the plastic doesnt smash into pieces , try and watch it ,surprised me, by the way the worst thing on the striker is the click the on ?off button makes,
  9. i swear by it, raw tripe is top stuff for dogs,cheap i pay £3.00 for a full tripe put though the mincer , i freeze it down into small portions and use it mixed with dry about 3 or 4 times a week,i would limit the amount you give to a pup or young dog ,tends to put weight on them ,horrible green slimey stuff when u see it hanging up, but who cares the dogs love it,
  10. vet charges me £6.00 pound to empty the glands, i have recently had them removed from a bedlington at a cost of £300,

  13. without a doubt if you have the extra money go for a lithuim battery , look at the recent posts, i have one and they are great,i use a striker and have no problem ,dont know how long exactly they last , i get a good nights lamping from mine , and stick it on charge ready for another session,i havent run mine completly flat yet,
  14. just started mine on it, i pay £3.50 minced , feed it with a mixer, distguisting stuff but the dogs love it, i freeze it down ,i get approx 14 small bags from one tripe, one bag feeds two lurchers with mixer of course,
  15. optics warehouse £113 plus vat and del brings it to a grand toatal of £139.15, i got one they are spot on, looked about but found this was the cheapest, i was worried that it wouldnt last for a nights lamping but they are great,
  16. followed your advice and cut the two lugs off leaving the top one intact,also got mysels a small brass hinge and self tapped into the plastic(drilled a small pilot hole first) plastic didnt split ,i painted the hinge black and ran a bit black silicon round, all works quite well , still a bit noisey though, nothing to loose, thanks for the idear torchy,

  18. been wanting to do something with mine just dont want to balls things up , i am the same ,scan with the red filter and course with the standard lamp, i think i will try and fit a hinge and see how it goes, torchey could you put a picture up of the hinge side of the lamp cheers,
  19. i know of two people with hancock dogs, both outstanding, that good i got a offspring of one. you hear good and bad things about hancock bred lurchers but you can only go off what you see?

  21. i ve just bought one and wasnt sure for the price, been out once and it did the job, i was out about 3to4 hours , they are very light and if your like me with a bad back they are spot on , i am sure the prices will come down eventually, i use a striker with mine, i followed advice and got it from the optics warehouse, i supose time will really tell how good they are, cheers
  22. First cross Beddy Whippet, 18inch tts , 3 year old, she is a good ferreting dog and catches a few on the lamp, she always give 110% whatever, heart like a lion. Would like to breed off her in the future.
