hi tony going by your pic of Ch. Gentleman Jim your a SBT enthusiast as well? i have them to. show them as well.

I meant if hes planning to work them and before he works them once hes learnt everything a location is a must. it a must for anyone that vaules their pet. Yes bringing the jills out of season is number one. the market is already flooded with unwanted ferrets, for me, IMO i dont like using a snipped hob because its so ruff and there is an alternative. RE the jill coming back into season i waited 10 days from when i noticed the swelling and got her jabbed but she still came in again. i do know of other peoples ferrets that do the same

Reasons why you shouldnt feed cat food to your ferret Taken from allaboutferrets They have a very short intestinal tract, only about 5 times the length of its body. A cat, another obligate carnivore, has an intestinal tract 10 times the length of its body. Food usually passes through a ferret’s intestine in about 3 hours, compared to the 5-6 hours it takes to go through a cat’s gut. The food a ferret eats must be highly digestible and concentrated to allow for the short digestion time, and must also be high in animal protein and fat, to help maintain a healthy immune sys

like others have said ferret food for ferrets cat food for cats makes sense cat food doesnt contain enough protein for ferrets

If the kits where only getting raw meat they may of had Osteodystrophy caused by to much potassium and not enough calcium in the diet. Young growing ferrets, often entire litters, are most commonly affected. Individuals are unable to stand and the front limbs bow and become distorted they may drag their back legs like a seal. even if they where getting chicken wings you need to be sure they are eating the bones too.

Locators should be at the top of the shopping list my jill came in got her jabbed and she came in again about 3 months later. I never used a hob i didnt like to put the jill through the roughness of a mating for nothing in the end.

id recommend getting them spayed. it will work out cheaper in the long run as they will need injected at least twice, it will take them out but they will come back in again. also id recommend like others have said a ferret finder and also getting them microchipped in case they get lost

fingers crossed the rain stays off!!

maybe she had a blockage somewhere in her gut

thats really sad like others have said id be asking the vet a few questions. but unless it was an exotics vet they dont really have a clue about ferrets as all they teach them is a 30 min lecture on exotics. did she have any of these symptoms:- loss of appetite, foul-smelling yellow or green sticky eye discharge, green or yellow nasal discharge, thick brown crusts that form on the eyes, nose, lips and chin, lethargy, diarrhoea, difficulty breathing, dehydration, convulsions. these are the symptoms of canine distemper that ferrets can catch. Aplastic Anaemia symptoms are:- swollen

very sad. its always hard when you lose a pet, and that's what they are working or not they are our pets... RIP little lady

I was quoted £40 at a local vets so i shopped around some vets said i would have to buy the whole vile of drug in for £60 as they didnt stock it and one vet didnt even know what it was and said could i just not leave her be needless to say i educated him! but went and got the jab at another vets for £17 all in. the vet even said to me you only need tops a few pounds worth of the drug but they have to charge a consultation fee too

well done to the organisers was a great show, couldn't stay for the racing as it went on to late but congratulations to all the winners. Just one thing though what is it with people not picking up their dog shit?? It was everywhere around the rings and in the rings where other people had to show their dogs bloody disgusting IMO. kids walking about and playing in the grass...you wouldn't leave it lying around your own back garden or estate for your kids to roll and stand in. doesnt take long to pick it up!! -
liver should only really be used as a treat or fed once a week as it has a lot of vitamin A. Unlike most vitamins, which are nearly impossible to overdose on as they are excreted if given in excess, this one is stored in the liver and too much can actually cause liver problems. I would also get him castrated if you are not planning to breed from him, keeps the smell down good luck with him

oh definitely! this is a bit taken from my leaflet:- Diet Ferrets are obligate carnivores meaning they must eat only raw meat. BARF (bones and raw foods) is the best diet to give your ferret. There is also specially designed ferret kibble on the market too. Ferrets cannot digest vegetables and lactose. Feeding them these foods will lead to obesity, diarrhoea and very ill health. Feeding your pet the best diet is the best way to keep them healthy. -
thank you. hes a good lad really getting into the swing of the racing now and he shows well to

lol nope not a rescue just wanted people to be well educated. id of loved to send bunny with each kit but id no way of getting them. i dont hunt myself. and i know you are poking fun :friends: Christ that's impressive then. What exactly did you put in all together, looks like samples of different food? And care sheets. i sent emails to the different manufacturers requesting samples to send of with my kits as you can see they where very generous, they also sent their own care sheets and some money off vouchers. i made up my own care sheets and leaflets as well just with infor
