    i think that if your pup is taken thru stock and not allowed to chase them and is checked by swift jerk of lead and change of tone in voice if it pulls at them done often enough should do the trick ive heard people say that you should put pup in with old ram and let it get knocked about by it and this suposed to do the trick but never tried that and would think that this might cause the pup to want to kill sheep even more

    when i first started lamping most people made their own lamps up and some of them were very good beams on them is any of you still doing their own and if so what type of bulbs and any pics i know their some very good lamps on the market these days but some are very expensive

    i do a lot of hunting and yes some times its poaching and i know the risks if caught im not complaining at all keepers have a job to do and its their livelihood but still what gives them the right to assault people and take lamping equipment and block roads faced with this type of aggro its often no the wonder we take revenge and hit them were it hurts the pens and their poults

    what do you recon is it best to train your new charges with your already working dog im at present training 12month old bull cross bitch and have twice took out with me old dog to show her how and what to chase but think myself that it tends to get pup worked up abit so last night tried her on her own and to be honest a part from her not watching lamp yet when she did see bunnies run she was of on the chase and managed to catch 7 which is the most to date with her and she came straight back which she wasnt doing when old dog was around
