    Its a Falcon Raptor .22 running at 19.7ftlb with AA Field. These were shot with Defiant 14 grain but I've switched back to the AAF.

    Those 2 were marinated in tandoori and then bbq'd. Lovely.

    Both shot around 30 yards. Shot a third but he got stuck up a tree.

    Its been a long process but I've come to the conclusion that the best scopes for air rifles are the air rifle specific ones so the Sidewinder should be great.

    I had a Harris, made the gun feel heavy and unbalanced. For prone shooting i made a small set of shooting sticks from garden canes. They cost nothing, weigh nothing and are just as effective.

    Surplus kit. Cheap and hard wearing.

    Happens to us all. Even worse when you go through a long spell with no success. Im off out ratting in half an hour. Wish me luck, not even a glimpse of a rat the last three outings!!

    Get a surplus jacket for a tenner and give it a waterproof treatment. Much better and much cheaper.

    Russ Komer Alaskan Carcajou. Great knife, had it for about 10 years. I always have Opinels kicking about and have owned them since i was a young lad.

    Just wondered what was folks favourite way of stalking in the woods. I like sitting still for 15 minutes or so before moving to the next spot.

    Personally i prefer 22. I found the 177 meant a smaller kill zone making it much less forgiving if you shot wasn't perfect.

    I use the Shakespeare bag as well. Great value, plenty of room and makes a good rest to shoot off.
