No he has a bed the same size as a crate which is about 5 inches think quite comfy for him
-
Learn to read will you mate! And while your there grab a dictionary. He's not kept in there all day every day he's free to go in and out, and iv seen people keep 2 dogs in a crate the same size as the one he gets to himself without issues. So that says to me my old chap you talk bollocks
-
are u lamping him out of season as the ground is very hard in places. No mate not done much with him, plus we've had alot of rain down here do ground is moist. His breeding has alot of saluki, collie, grey, bit of deerhound and a smidge of whippet
-
He's free to get in and out, and the crate is big enough for him to stretch out and move about comfortably. Just stretched out his front right leg and he showed a little but of discomfort.
-
how long does he spend in the crate bud, have seen dogs in difficulty before after long spells in crates but with no long lasting effects, He's out most of the day to roam, it was about half hour after his walk but wasn't strenuous in anyway.
-
Just looked there isn't one for around my way on there, if stretched all his legs out and he's not fussed by it but it seems to be when's he's trying to sit up and down, he's just not himself for some reason

I have a young lurcher 10 months old and he randomly whines for unknown reasons when sat in his crate, I put it down to being a lurcher. But today the whine was more of a cry so I called him over to me and it seems as if he struggled to get up and was painful to walk it seems as if it's his back legs Or hips so I have an appointment at the vets but in the mean time does anyone have anyideas could it be cramp or something similar?
-
Could be he he is a big boy, he's about 26" tts ATM but it seems more to be his hips he's not limping or anything strange

Personly it depends if your out for fun or out in aim of clearing fields me I go for fun and would be as happy with one rabbit as I would be with 10 So I'd stick to traditional lamp

That's why it's so important to keep good spots to yourself. But as said its not about numbers look a good day

he doesn't want to try your patience bud, he's torn between his prey instinct which is investigating interesting scents and such things which may lead to prey drive which is a state of mind he really wants to be in and going back to you which may not be all that appealing unless it has an aspect of drive attached to it, if you get my drift, what im saying is you need to make yourself more interesting to the pup because all his instincts are pulling him in the opposite direction bud I get what your saying cheers for the advice to all

What is it with male dogs wanting to try your patience, my dog is 8 months had a perfect recall and now it's like it's falling on deaf ears, it's not all the time but iv seen alot of male dogs like this any ideas while he's young ?

as titile say lets here your stories from this seasons antics.... start with my pups first catch.... was out with my mate and his bitch and my pup who wed had out a couple times but only really watching, the start of the night was quiet and we only had a couple in the bag for the bitch we came across a new bit of ground shone the lamp and its was living to say the least and the bunnies just stood where they were...perfect so i climbed over the gate and the pup followed my mate and his bitched waited at the gate to minimize distraction, got him on his slip and walked towards the nearest

Familiarity of words same as like sit stay ect, iffy first I'd lead him and if he was walking ahead I'd pull him to heal and say heal and abit of time and effort it works mines not 100% every time after all he's a pup but I'm now starting to get it with a click of the fingers and most of the time he does what he's told when on walks -

It the day time mate. I tried it with my pup and he played up abit after on the lamp do iv scrapped daytime for now an just walk him where there's no rabbits if there are I'm very strict with him. Say if he runs off I don't let him snoop around for the sake of it he has to be to heal or on game. Or playing with the other dogs dunno how others do it but works for him and me -
