law is clear on this, always has been, if you think that you, or any guest in your home is in danger, then you can use any reasonable force to defend yourselves from intruders, if the choice is a feather duster or a shotgun as a form of defence then any court would accept it as reasonable that you blasted them with a 3" bb shot rather than tickled them

15... some went to 50/70 longest was 110.. 7 + hours but if any of us remember them rather than read about them they need to contact the guiness book of records , back when those fights happened they were hard bas**rds, had to be, even to survive from day to day, only `the landed gentry` had an easy life(ish), any idea what date the last 20 or 30 round fight hapened??

too young to know about boxers from20-30 years ago, but my take is that generaly the boxers from the pre70`s were harder bas**rds, had a harder upbringing and were tougher men, don`t think boxers now can be compared with them, fitness nowadays is probably a lot better and nutrician(cant spell it) is better understood, combine that with more scientific approach to training and you get a different class of fighter, are they better, no idea, but i doubt many now could cope with the wars that used to occur,, think a lot now would collapse after 13 rounds never mind 15

if you have a complaint against you for your dog barking then you need a decent counter complaint, get yours in by lodging a complaint in writing that your neighbours cats are in your garden disturbing your dog and driving it nuts, fight fire with fire pal, only thing is the other fu**er has put his complaint in first, so gather any evidence you can, borrow a vidio cam and tape them going into your garden, pissing on your lawn, anything that you could use as a complaint against him, other than that, have you bought some anti-freeze to make sure your cars coolant system is safe for winter

spent 5 years in a 30ft static, not bloody easy even tho it was cheap, best thing i did there was put a woodburner in, dried the place out like you would`nt believe, gas heating kicks out loads of moisture, had a dehumidifier running and pulled loads of water every day in winter with the gas fire burning, biggest PITA was the water freezing for weeks at a time, then in summer roasting by 8 am, would i go back, yes sir, 6 miles out in the sticks, no noise, no pissed idiots and shooting out of the bedroom window when it was raining or something to eat came too close, if you go down that route ge

pop guns rely on the skill of the user to do the job, not some other animal to do the work to make up for the shortcomings of the owner, easier to point a lamp than a gun

think it has reached the time that this was locked and put to bed, we all have our own opinions on all thats happened and the only thing that seems to be a constant is people dissagree, miles has his own outlook on life and what it owes him, and several have their own opinions on the subject, only thing that keeping this open is doing is forming pacts that either agree and want his lifestyle or think of him as a scrounging scumbag who should be hung at the stake, i have my own opinion on how he`s tried to live and it differs from what he thinks he should have, i`ll leave it at that and hope thi

the more i learn about you, the more confused i become, wont change my attitude to freeloaders tho, not nice what happened at 16 for you but did not serving in the forces teach you anything about systems, if you served your time with the same attitude then i think you would have spent most of your time in the guardroom and they would probably have been glad to see you gone, you may have your own outlook on life that you think is right but you are a very small minority even on this forum (which has what may be regarded as a very lax attitude to authority), but the fact remains that you dug you

have read all this, seems to me he`s got weathy parents who have spoiled the brat, no problems over money, when he needs to rejoin society they`ll bail him out, only hope that if he is squatting they`ll pay the costs involved with removing him, as for `living the dream`, i hope he remembers the taxpayers who are paying for any healthcare he needs for him and his family, the education of his child and the child benefit he or his Mrs gets, to me he`s a leech on the rest of us who pay our way

my take on this is, you have been living on land owned by someone else without their consent, you have been found out and have now been told to sling your hook, whats the problem with that, and if the land is common land as you claim, WTF are you doing shooting on it, time for you to grow up and join the rest of us and accept that you cannot do as you please, only way to do that is develop an accent no-one understands, buy a transit van and chrome plate your caravan

allways have the option to put more slack in the throttle cable, put more time into teaching him to allways use a helmet (on his head, not hanging off the handlebar) gloves are also a must, then as the lad grows in confidence, boots and pads are the next step, best spending a bit more on a better spec machine than the chinese crap, costs more but better resale value if you come to step up to bigger machines

You're wrong mate...and not good advice to put on a public forum!!! You can't just throw your rifle over your shoulder and take it for a stroll around town!!! The law states that you have to have "good reason" for carrying a firearm in a public place ie going to a RFD. not Moxy thats wrong there, if you are over eighteen and have ANY good reason to be carrying it, your not breaking the law, just leaving yourself open to any plod that wants to give you a hard time, that means covered or not

help with lamping bunnies
neil82 replied to garethf's topic in Rifle Reviews, Technical Help and Tips
way i read your post, your saying your getting glare (like sunlight) back through your scope, try mounting your lamp/torch a little further back on your scope, if its anywhere near the front you get light bleeding straight in to the front lens and that gives glare problems, other way out is to rig up something like a sun shade on your torch to focus the light more -
