  1. you can get generic code readers to work on the engine management side easily as they are standard codes, on the airbag and ABS system there is no legislation covering it so any scanner that will work on that side will not be cheap, laptop based system might be the way to go
  2. very often pre tensioner faults are the connectors under the seats, do away with the connector and solder the joints (do them one at a time, and better to disconnect the battery for ten minutes first)
  3. ldv is taxed and tested, the middle trannie has had no tax since april and the last trannie is taxed and tested, tried pasting the link to the ugov site but THL will not allow copy and pasting for me, any one got an idea how to get over this?
  4. no brainer for me, footie on sky, easyjet for family visits either way, sun shine and good grub out there, where`s my passport, god knows there are a lot of things I`d miss about this country but if I had the chance now to move I would be gone tomoz, the only thing that has kept me where I am now is I know the arseholes and the good guys, if I moved would have to learn who was who again but god I regret not trying it years ago

  6. yea, really bright idea, brilliant excuse to employ more pen pushers to admin the whole scheme, try charging health tourists for the care they get for free and give the EU patients the same as we would get from them if we were sick in their country, that would put a lot more cash back into the system that this sheite idea
  7. remember that the mazda and the ranger are the same truck, just the badges are different
  8. personally run a mazda, 2002 model, just turned 100k miles, had it 3 years and had no trouble whatsoever, love it, the nisan d22 is ok as long as the engine bearings have been replaced, local vet has one thats just coming up to 250k miles, no idea on the l200`s tho
  9. dpf`s are more bullshaite foisted on every diesel driver without them knowing about it, take the barsterd off and drill or knock out the matrix and if the mil lamp comes on have it remapped to remove it from the ecu, when the mot is due they can`t fail it because it looks like its still there, and thrash the arse off it before the test to blow the crap out of the exhaust, most problems now are due to people buying diesels for economy and driving it to try and get 100 mpg, does not work, diesels need to be used hard often, biggest shit I get in work is motobility customer who drive at 50 mph in
  10. don`t really give a shit about the hunting ban, that can wait, what we really need is a vote on staying in the united kingdom of Europe, any party that has the balls to do that gets my vote, and if the vote is to get out then we do just that, and no fcukig immigrant has the right to vote over that, its a given that they would not like to change anything so they could bring the rest of their families over, time to start kicking them out and with ebola spreading there is a decent excuse to bring in proper border controls
  11. got it years ago machining aluminium, up to my arm pits in paraffin every day, cleared it with germoline cream (the old stuff in the tins), daft thing about that is that was paraffin based as well, when you get it cleared use this stuff http://www.astralcsl.com/gloves-in-a-bottle/ you`ll have to try and copy that bit and paste it, any one know why that link will not copy and paste directly, not been able to do it on several things, copies it OK but will not paste the non-solve hand cleaner they do is also good stuff, a lot of people I know who have skin problems love the stuff, not as aggre
  12. another thumbs up on the x-trail, just strip the brakes yearly as the pads and sliders are sods for seizing, would also advise changing the rear diff oil every few years
  13. the only time legal questions arise on this is what are you approved to shoot with your FAC gun, as far as using an air rifle goes the only stumbling block is can you kill it cleanly, if you do that and can show there was no cruelty involved then to me no offence has occurred, this may cause an outcry but, as with all prey, a well placed shot does the job regardless, if it can penetrate the skull and rattle about or pass through if it does enough brain damage its dead, end of
  14. just had a quick scan in autodata, put in the same year for both and the track settings for the rear wheels are different so its a good bet that they are not the same, might fit but you could end up with a tyre chewer
  15. no matter how this goes it will still be regarded as a claim and your no-claims is stuffed, if the damage to your car can be put right cheaply then do it your self, when you take into account the NCD and the increased premiums until you get it back then anything upto probably a grand nowadays is better off putting down to experience and paying out of your own pocket, if the other guy is seriously in the wrong and you can prove it, fix you car and claim from him through the small claims court, that way you might get a payout without it appearing on your insurance as a claim
  16. sounds like a `sub acromial decompression`, had that on my left shoulder, if you have the same results that I had you will be off pain meds sooner than you think, the pain relief was amazing, but because the change is so great you will think you can do more than you ought to, stick with what your physio advises and no more, feck it up on the recovery stage and you will be in deep sheite, when I had mine done by the time of surgery I`d lost nearly 2 inches of muscle and pretty much all movement, pleaded with them to cut the barsteward off as they wheeled me into theatre
  17. 2 things, canopy depends on what cab you have, also look at these, may be cheaper than Ivor Williams for some reason I can`t paste a link search for gamic trailers newtown anyone got any idea why copy and paste won`t work???
  18. after having both my shoulders done the best advice I can give is to concentrate on recovery and getting back to normal, do what the physio tells you and don`t push yourself too much, feck it up and recovery will be a hell of a lot longer, and if your doing baccy runs swing by me on your way home
  19. wtf is all this macho bull crap about having to carry a blade for self defence/protection, if all you can think of is that for justification to carry then you are the dickheads who have brought on the law over possession of knives, I`ve had some sort of blade with me since I was in junior school, its a tool, not a weapon, what the f**k next, need to carry an air rifle just in case!!!!!!!!!
  20. I go Saturday, the bloody thing is so big I need sunday to recover
  21. we are supposed to be skint but spend 50k on that sort of carp, this country is really fcuked
  22. global warming gone mad, now got marlin in british waters
  23. 10 replies and no one moaning about the cost, this place has really been cleaned up , will be going again this year, this is one thing I don`t miss out on
  24. Diesel Particulate Filter, more bloody hassle for mechanics to sort out, if you only do short runs or low speeds stay away from any car or truck fitted with one, the bills for replacing them will far out weigh the fuel savings
