  1. Do posters, websites, and everything you can. Call shelters, and let them know that you are looking for your beloved pet. Just in case she ends up there. All the best to you... Joh
  2. It's hard when you lose a good one, and I think everyone here could actually agree to that. I'm so sorry for your loss. RIP Katie
  3. Sorry for your loss, a good dog is hard to lose. R.I.P. Katie...
  4. I'm so sorry for your loss, he looked like a great boy, it must have been good to have him while you did. I'll bet you two have many stories...
  5. If it's due to teething, I use to soak rope dog toys in water, freeze them, and give those to mine. They're very soothing, and kind of like having a chew and dental floss at the same time. I'd watch it with perfume, it might not be safe for the puppy, or you---if you use somebodys good stuff!
  6. My kid is voting for "George". She thinks "he looks like a George".
  7. I can tell you right off that I know nothing about having an older bitch with a litter, and that it is one of those personal decisions you have to make yourself. What I CAN tell you is that I wish my JRT bitch had at least one litter. She died April 13, at 16 1/2, with no offspring, and she was a really great dog. If I could hop in a time machine I would do it differently. I'd heed the advice about the cost of a C section though, maybe your vet does it cheaper, or you could call around in advance for prices, in case. If she's a great bitch, if even only to you, you may want to risk
  8. How long have you had him? How's his basic obedience, and other training? He's still young, if he's newish to you, and/or you haven't worked a lot with him on the basics, and building trust, he might just not be ready to hunt with you, or anyone else yet. Or could just be him being a puppy and assing around! I'm more inclined to think he's still puppyish, and will do what you need when he's ready. There's a lot that's still new to him. All the best to you both!
  9. I hope your Patterdales are safe, and get right back to you. What dog theives do is wrong on so many levels that it boggles the mind they can walk amongst any human who has ever had a dog of their own. Or friends. Or family. Or a child. All my best wishes are with you for a speedy and safe return.
  10. I'm keen on the white one, reminds me of mine. Great job with them, hope to see more pics soon!
  11. Yeah, showing the dogs wrecks them in the name of "fashion". That's what I love about Jack Russells, not being part of a kennel club keeps them pure®.
